Drew Brees would drive the ball downfield, using every offensive weapon he had, while the defense was scoring as well. This year, they're sputtering. Neither the Vikings (a little rusty, and not sure if Brett Favre will round back into playing shape) nor the 49ers (being just plain bad on offense) are particularily good at this point.

We'll find out if the Saints will be Super Bowl contenders this weekend, when they play the Falcons.</p>
