I think this could be a year where an SEC team is beaten for the national championship. It would be a great game, but Florida or Bama won't get to win an national championship by playing Ohio State. There is a big difference between Ohio State and Texas, Texas Tech, and Oklahoma

I'm still not sold on the defense in the Big 12. Florida would be the most physical team any of the Big 12 schools have played and I haven't seen a Big 12 team yet that has the athletes that Florida has. I think Texas and Oklahoma would fare better against Florida than Texas Tech would. I don't Tech has enough athletes on defense to really stop Florida.

what happens if oklahoma beats tech? anyone know their tie breaking rules and who would represent the south in the big 12 title game if all 3 end the regular season with one loss to each other? i think texas is the best of the 3 and would beat tech on a neutral field if 6 or 7 out of 10 times and almost every time at home. i would think texas would be a better match up for florida, but whatever. all in all the best 2 teams from the best 2 conferences will decide it all. it would take a monumental breakdown in 5 teams in order for that not to happen. i think its funny we are all giving bama no chance of beating florida. i'd probably root for the big 12 school if bama makes it to miami.

If there is a three way tie in the Big 12 South then the winner is determined by whoever is rated the highest in the BCS standings. I could see Oklahoma jumping Texas and TT if they win out.

to stop Tech. Tech's athletes are outstanding. All 4 of the Big 12 South teams could easily run with Florida or Bama.

If Texas, Oklahoma, and Tech finish 11-1, the Big 12 south division champion is chosen by the 5th tie-breaker: the highest rated team in the BCS.

I have watched TT, and their offense is unstoppable... in the same way that the Pats were unstoppable last year. Meaning, they haven't seen the kind of pressure that a Georgia or LSU or Florida or Alabama can bring. See how Graham Harrell does against a good pass rush before you anoint him. I don't remember which game it was, but he got knocked down a couple times and it really seemed to throw his rhythm off. I think Florida could at least slow them down.
