I recall you saying earlier this year that baseball is the only MSU sport that you just can't get in to. Change of heart?

I can get into any MSU sport. Just baseball is the one I have the least amount of emotional investment with. This year was different though. The personalities of the team combined with the success reeled me in.

I hope you continue to invest in them, DS. Cohen is building something special, and he's doing it in a way that makes me proud to be a dawg.

I just enjoy basketball and football more bc that's what I played growing up. I like to understand a game that I watch. I just don't get baseball strategy and why you do things in certain situations.

I personally have never watched an entire baseball game on TV at any level until this year's MSU squad. They were a lot of fun to watch. I will likely watch more MSU baseball going forward. Yes, I realize that I am not DS, but I think my example shows that the impact of this year's team is pretty widespread.

Same here. But have to admit that listening to Jim Ellis has educated me to an extent about baseball strategy. He loves the game and it shows in his voice and enthusiasm......football and basketball not so much from him. Yeah, this bunch was a helluva lot of fun to follow...very entertaining.

No doubt that the foundation that this year's team laid will bring in new fans. I think MSU baseball's fanbase was garnered during the 80's and most everyone who was still diehard was because of that decade. This year's team will bring in a new group that will be the core for the next 20-30 years assuming we stay successful.
