Ducre's play dictates how AD performs in the remaining ballgames.

All of you have attended the games the last 2 years, and I am completely convinced that when Ducre comes into the game and makes a few good, hard runs that it makes AD run better. Last night and last weekend, when Ducre comes in and runs like we all expect him to (balls out, hard nosed, and no tip-toeing) the next series or next play that AD is in, he responds with what he should be doing all the (17ing) time. I think Ducre is actually the better back between the tackles, but AD just takes too long to get in the flow of the game physically, still too much stutter stepping, and not hitting the hole, moving the pile, or the just plain making your own hole when there is not one.

We will have to run right at Auburn like we did last year, because their defense, as usual, can run east and west well. Have to play physical, hard-nosed football to even be around in the 4th quarter, and HAVE TO COME OUT DOING IT ON THE FIRST POSSESSION. No 3 and out from our end of the field, and expect our punter to play the field position game with them. They also have a pretty dangerous return man.

I just want to add my thoughts on this. . . Croom made the comment earlier that Dixon left 500yds on the field last year. Well, why didn't Croom give Dixon the opportunity to get to the century mark in both the first 2 games and use it as motivational momentum for both Dixon and the offensive line going into the Auburn game? Give them a sense of pride in something to defend every week. If Dixon gets some attention the team (ie. - offensive lineman) gets mentioned in the media which helps recruiting which makes us and alumni happy to hear about our Bulldogs. Does that make sense?
