It was chilly but that did not get in the way of having a great time. I was posted up in the cotton district (as usual) and people there seemed to be having a good time. The turnout was not as big as I expected, especially after seeing and hearing about this parade everywhere around Starkville. It seemed that whoever was in charge did a great job on getting the word out,but the cold must have had an effect on the crowd. I only witnessed the cotton district but there was a bigger crowd than last year.

We need to get more fraternities and lounge owners to participate in this next year. There were a few fraternities in it this year but this needs to be a priority for the future. This will get bigger and better as time goes on.

All in all, I could not think of a better way to spend 30 minutes of my Friday afternoon. Does anybody know if the University is involved in this or is it private organizations?</p>

If you didn't make it, you should plan on going next year. Cohen and the team were there, good crowd, silent auction, The Flames, lots of booze, etc... all benefiting the Red Cross.
