His problem is defense. He looks like he is playing on roller skates at catcher. And his other best position defensively is first. We're not going to bench Conner Powers when he is hitting bombs himself. I do think he may start next year if/when Powers leaves for MLB.

but what Cohen has right now seems to be working. Can Freeman play outfield?

absolutely. I do think Freeman could play the OF- LF probably would be the best fit for him if he did, but the problem with that is I don't think Freeman is totally over an arm injury which has affected his throwing ability, and probably his hitting somewhat. He is kind of a liability himself because of that, and that's part of the reason DeLoach has played so much this year behind the plate.

but hey, his hitting stats don't lie, he's getting the job done this year. Best case scenario is Freeman catching, but you have to do what you have to do. Offense hasn't been the problem lately. I wish Duffy didn't suck behind the plate.
