Anybody in the know have any idea if this guy is going to get drafted? He could be huge next year at catcher or at first base. I'm betting that he sucks defensively which is why most of the time he was the DH. Maybe we can move him to first? Or maybe Powers won't be drafted as high as everyone thinks and he can continue to DH? Powers definitely has some serious holes in his swing as his average wasn't great.

I don't know teams criteria for selecting players, but if Duffy doesn't get drafted it will be because he isn't a good fielder. I thought Cohen underplayed him this year, but its probably because he knew he wanted to keep Duffy and wanted to see what other players could do.

He needs to get both Duffy and Freeman in the lineup at the same time next year. He said he thought they would get a look at 1st and one of the corner outfield spots. Also said Freeman was one of the better righthanded hitters but didn't know if he would catch or not.

slg % and power numbers are too good for him to not get drafted high enough & leave. to think that he's coming back is a bit of a stretch.

it will probably be low. You are paying him a compliment when you say he sucks at defense. Cohen pulled him out of a game in the middle of an inning because he couldn't catch anything, and never put him on the field as a defensive player the rest of the year. Because of that, right now he only has value to an American League team. He would be a major project defensively for anyone that takes him. He also is overweight and can't run.

I will say that he does have good LH power and can hit pretty well, but that's about it.

he will get a look at 1st next year. My questions can Freeman play leftfield, or maybe he can catch, he did catch the last few innings yesterday.

Cohen really likes Brownlee and Rawdow, I know they are freshmen and will improve but I sure hope we get WAY better players that can not only play defense but hit.
