Duke’s record in games that you’ve been to

I’ve seen Duke play in person 16 times total, wish I could say I’ve never seen them lose but it’s happened twice. ‘02 NCAA tourney I saw IU beat them, ‘13 I saw Louisville knock them out too. (Yeah - the game Kevin Ware broke his leg.) 14-2 is pretty lucky though considering every game I’ve seen has either been a conference or NCAA tournament game, no cupcakes. I also saw them win it all in ‘10 and ‘15.

Aside from seeing them play games in person, I’ll tell you what was pretty damn cool — In 2010 that Friday before the Saturday / Monday final 4 games, there was an open practice (1 hr per team.) Free, no assigned seats. Sit where’s available. Duke was the last practice. Being that it was Indianapolis, Butler is the local school and MSU had a lot of fans too. Once they practiced, Lucas Oil nearly cleared. I moved way up and watched Duke practice from the FRONT ROW. Being close enough to actually hear all their voices and chatter authentically rather than via TV or microphone is pretty sweet.

That’s good stuff. I would recommend Maui for a similar reason, at least back when I went. It’s a small gym, the players were around the arena before and after games (got Duhon’s autograph on a jersey for my younger brother), and you’ll also likely see guys from all of the teams around the more popular places to eat and shop.

I'm not sure how many I've been to, but the first games I ever attended were the East Region opening rounds in Greensboro in 2001 against Monmouth and Missouri. I know I've only seen them lose twice: at Virginia Tech in 2005, and the 2010 championship team getting shellacked at the MCI Center by Georgetown.

4-2.

Saw the 2004 Final Four team in the 2nd round of the NCAA’s in Raleigh, and a win in Chapel Hill in ‘06 where Redick went for 35. The other 2 W’s were games at Cameron against vastly inferior foes.

Both losses were at UNC including the game where Henderson elbows Hansbrough.

I've been to about twenty games with most being at Wake or ACC tournament games. They were all wins except maybe three losses to Wake. Kyle Singlar team lost to Wake and Tim Duncan beat Duke in Greensboro. Most memorable games attended were ACC tournament in Charlotte with JJ leading the comeback win against nc state. The ACC championship game against Maryland when Boozer , Williams and Dunleavy were there. Duke was really good that year.

No clue what the overall record is, but I’ve seen us lose a handful of times, infamously in the podcast we talk about the Syracuse game i went to this season. I redeemed myself vs St. John’s.

I have no idea. Went to every game for four years, and several more after that.
OFC

I have no idea either. Went to games at Duke - Carolina - and State plus the Big 4 tournament (as long as it lasted) for many years from the mid 70's until mid 90's and still try to hit at least one game a year and am trying to see Duke at every ACC venue.

Men's Hoops - I'm 5-0 with one of them being a UNC game when I was in high school.
Women's Hoops - I've probably been to 35-40 over the years (tickets are waaaaay cheaper, lol) and can't think of but maybe three or four losses. This season I've been to 3 and the Lady Devils are undefeated under my watch (Wake, Pitt and at UNC) Have tickets to the UNC game at Cameron coming up in a couple of weekends.
Football - I have no idea. Been going to games since Ben Bennett was QB and had season tickets for a very large majority of that time. I would imagine the Devils are a little under .500 over the years.
Men's soccer - I've seen two games - both wins
Baseball - I think I've seen three - two wins and a loss
Wrestling - I've seen twice - both losses
Volleyball - Took the daughter to see them several times when she was playing in school - no idea on how many or the outcomes

One thing that I still remember about that game is Miles Plumlee threw down a nasty reverse dunk at the end of the first half and I had tons of people high fiving me as they walked passed me on their way to concessions and/or to the restrooms. I still have a picture saved on my phone that I took of the court during the game.

Very cool!

I took a few photos and the program from the game and put them in a frame at home. I remember Jay Williams was interviewing K after the game. I thought that was pretty cool.

In my 1st post, I focused on the 5 losses of the games I have seen. Since Duke doesn't lose much, it's easy to remember the losses... however, I have seen some good wins over the years.

Top 3 wins I have been at for me would be
beating Unc at Cameron in 2013.
Grayson Allen buzzer beater over UVA 2016
and Duke beating Wisconsin in the 2015 championship.
