LSU has suspended Wade indefinitely. What about the player in question, is he still playing?

Duke, along with certain other schools, seems untouchable. I won't hold my breath waiting to see if those certain schools will ever get busted like they should be.

LSU is withholding from competition the player in question

I'm waiting on UK to get involved but we know that won't happen...…….too many people to benefit with a coverup.

Coach K and Duke are protected, it would take some pretty damning evidence, and then I am still not sure anything would come of it.

This is a great thread. I was always especially amazed at the Corey Maggette situation, and how he was able to play despite taking payments. Contrast that with Muhammed Lasege, who as a Nigerian teenager received only room and board to play 13 games for what he thought was a junior team to play in Russia. I think the Lasege case came about a year after Maggette's, and it would appear that the NCAA would have ruled favorably for him if he had gone to Duke instead of UofL.

Which is why I don't worry about the NCAA and its investigation at this point. Schools that get hammered are most certainly going to go to the courts and make the case that the NCAA is a complete joke when it comes to compliance. The fact is, the NCAA is the schools that participate. Eventually either they change the rules, hammer everyone, or go the way of the governing bodies that preceded them. The member schools can and should move on to form another governing body.

I seem to recall Duke boosters giving recruits parents jobs - Chris Duhon's mother allegedly got a job that wasn't posted that she had no qualifications to get.

You just can't take much of it seriously given the inconsistent enforcement of rules.

Duke ain’t nothing but one coach that a bunch of folks have a man crush on. They are absolutely nothing without him and watch them get shut down the ncaa as soon as ol ratking retires.

UKaaay is just a joke and their time is coming. I fully believe the ncaa will get them. They already don’t like cow and you know they want a shot at those stupid Billies. Well, they should anyway. Didn’t think how dumb they were to us.

I get the trash talk. Love the spirit! I just wish you would do it in English.

How did Coach K attain such an untouchable status despite all these huge red flags?

- they make espn and CBS big money
- large fraternity of “analysts” that are Duke alum
- private university so they aren’t subject to same scrutiny as public institutions

Others?

We all know that Zion walked away from Kansas' offer of $200k, a job for his parents, and a house for his parents, just for the honor of 6 months of a Duke University education.

It seems that more should be made of his commitment to excellence and integrity. All we hear about are negative stories and yet this guy turns down these lucrative offers in order to do things the right way.

Just like wi SuCkS, they have to have some people working at NCAA Headquarters.
