Defense looking real nice so far. Offense, not so much. Still, to be tied at the point, can't ask for much more than that.
Well it was only a matter of time. Hope the offense responds well because the D is looking a little tired.
OH NO! Huge mistake by the big fella, he way playing so well too. We gotta be smarter than that.
welp they wanted the money for playing a game like this so lets hope there are no big injuries that come out. think noah and brown came back in but dont think i saw tangelo get back in. i thought the oline was okay on running plays but they got destroyed all game long by the pass rush. QH had no time at all. that being said unless we play clemson in the championship game we wont see a dline anywhere near this good. thought the d played well but wore out which was to be expected. our front 6 is good. the dbs struggled but look at what they were going against. tua and that group of receivers are nfl type guys. now lets see the staff and kids get up and win our next 2 games.

My kid goes to Bama so i was a little conflicted. She was at the game - said Duke fans represented well! Thought the D line for Duke was great, stifled the run all game and pressured Tua. I think they will be fine this year.
Still can't defend the pass. I'm 53 and we can't defend the pass since the 70's
Agreed. Also, I believe Quentin Harris has a long way to go to prove himself a D1 starting quarterback.
i am still in the ''lets wait and see'' camp on harris. he won two starts last year and even though this game was a loss he had absolutely no time vs the bama pass rush. our oline absolutely must get better on pass protection but we started 2 freshman vs the #2 team in the nation that has nfl players at every spot. WE WONT SEE A D LIKE THAT THE REST OF THE YEAR. by the way, rbs brown, durant and jackson had 21 carries for 103 yds which was a 4.9 yds per carry average. to me that was a huge win by the oline. the qb scrambles to stay alive are what killed us on the carry average.
still think the dline and the lbs played well for most of the game. yes they wore down but DUH they were going against a heisman favorite and multiple nfl wr kids. bama averaged 3.5 yds per rush for the game. take out the ONE long run and we held them to 2.6 yds per carry. thats pretty good in my book. we also got steady pressure on tua. he is just so good and elusive. wow. we did make him earn it. he was not able to just sit back there but had to scramble to make the plays. our dbs were going against nfl level wrs and got beaten a lot. to me their big issue was once again tackling.
really going to be interesting to see how cut handles the edgar situation. wonder if he will be suspended for a half next week. i really thought that kinda opened the game up for bama. they were only up 14-6 and it was halfway thru the 3rd when it happened. a 5th year senior must be smarter than that.

AGREE with Surf: Far too early to write Harris off. Remember if his td pass doesnt sail right thru our WR's hands in end zone its 7-0 Duke. Q will rebound next week!! OFC
