Again. Nothing to do with the topic. There’s about 47 “we suck” threads on the main page. Why don’t you just click on one of those and celebrate with the fans of opposing teams that hang out on this board? This is for Duke vs Arkansas. And btw, this game might be over by halftime if Arky doesn’t settle down.
Duke is good again so of course we get a slurpfest again all season. I'm not sure anything can top the Cooper obsession though.
It’s early in the season, but they don’t look as strong to me as that team last year. The Malauch kid was such a plus for them defensively. And the other white kid whose name escapes me, it doesn’t look like they have a kid of that level either. But Boozers tough. Seems everything goes thru him though.
I’m not that impressed with what I’ve seen so far from Duke tbh. They look to be much weaker than last year. Boozer is a hoss, but I want to see how Duke plays against a team with a really good defensive frontcourt coz I don’t see much that would scare me to death. Evans is outstanding but other than those two guys I see a lot of meh
For sure UL. UL is a weak brand doesn’t mean anything nationally and we own them to death. We don’t need Calipari doing well at Arkansas. It would be a bad look, especially if we’re not producing. I want Arkansas to lose every game possible. After he’s gone I’ll go back to not noticing them, which I’m sure they’ll completely disappear like forever has happened.
UL is a punchline joke headed back to mid major land. Couldn’t care less what they do win or lose.

I’ll root for Arky to lose every game unless it’s a blue blood. Those bear more threat to us than Cal imo. Unfortunately, Cal can’t coach his way out of a paper bag so it looks like Duke will win anyway
I was watching thinking the exact same thing. You could just switch the uniforms and that entire 1st half looked just about like every game Cal’s “coached” (or stood on the sidelines flailing like a chicken) the last 5 years. Lots of dribbling, no fluidity, lots of threes, lots of paint chipped off the rim. Pope may or may not end up “being the right guy” here, but I’m SO glad Cal’s not here anymore. His condescending attitude and massive ego and arrogance is just sickening
Mo shoots like I did when I was in the 7th grade and shot the ball from my hip on long range shots just to be able to get the ball to the basket. Still made a decent clip then. Mo the worst looking jump shot I may have ever seen at this level of ball. I’m going to lose my mind if pope doesn’t reel his *** in and stop him from shooting anything other than put backs and dunks.

We don't suck but we have a long way to go to be competitive with top teams. I don't see that is hyperbole. Its just resetting expectations.
Our team needs to quickly come together or we will get embarrassed a few more times in the next couple of weeks.

Yup, screw Duke all day. Arkansas is gonna be good. Athletic and NBA talent. If Cal can ever get over his choking demons they will be a hard out. Maybe the S16 run broke that streak he had going. Who knows.
