saw a replay...looks like the guy smacked him on top of the head going by...guessing but seems there was more than trash being talked before the tripping. And if the refs let a lot go...and don't protect a player it on them for where it goes.

This whole idea of me not being a Duke fan because I strongly disagree with one of our players actions is becoming hilarious. The kid obviously has anger issues or ego issues to make him do something like this with less than a minute to go and we're crushing them. I strongly dislike dirty players and I was a huge Grayson fan last year and 90% of this year, but as of right now he absolutely disgusts me. The kid is a punk.
People are saying that, me included, because you aren't a Duke fan. The ruse isn't working, and adamant denial won't help the facade. You didn't just say you disapprove of his actions, as many have. You are calling him a punk, and earlier you said something along the lines of him deserving to be hit/elbowed/whatever. These are most certainly not things a Duke fan would say. So, in conclusion, piss off.
Actually, no, that's not the reason. We are saying it because you stated the remedy was to cause physical harm to our guy. That's BS and you got called on it.

I've taken more criticism from posters than most for my criticism of players, but this is an entire new level that I wouldn't even think to go especially in this situation. And I call it as I see it. It makes me feel like you haven't watched all the games this year. You honestly feel someone is a PUNK because of weak tripping? Really? I laugh when people say how tripping can lead to an injury. Maybe i'm in the minority but i've never seen anyone physically get injured by tripping, just their ego. It's why kids do it, and sometimes I still do it to my daughter and her friends
. Players are throwing punches, elbows, dirty blows, and grayson yes has made two dumb tripping mistakes. They are immature, childish, not necessary, poor reaction, but no way does it make him a PUNK. Grayson takes so much abuse in games it's alarming. He was absolutely mauled last saturday vs Louisville. Watch K's post game. Grayson is to blame for childish reactions twice, and officials are to blame for allowing non basketball physical confrontations to consistently occur to grayson from other players. Anger issues and a dirty player because he tripped someone, even twice? If that's your definition of dirty what do you call players that throw punches, cheap elbows, slap others face, low blows, verbally abusive attacks to family members,etc etc?
I don't really care if you like grayson or not, and you're more than justified to not like him as I understand why he annoys a lot of people. But a dirty player and punk, c'mon man. Grayson has been, and i'll quote K "A Warrior for Duke this year".
The last two games the kid has just gotten mauled with the stripes standing idly by. Play like he does and endure what he does and then talk to me about how dirty and how much of a punk he is. It doesn't in any form excuse his actions they are wrong and he should not do it. But play with the passion and emotion he does, endure what he does and see if in the same circumstance what you would do.

Want to know part of the reason why you are so unwanted here? They have trusted reputations around here. They didn't just show up to tell us how they are glad Grayson got elbowed in the face and how he's a punk. Don't know if the poster is a closet unx fan or not but I find it highly entertaining that a tarhole fan would see fit to lecture anyone on what's "dirty." On second thought , it makes sense. Who would know more about dirty players than a fan of the school currently embroiled in a scandal resulting from the worst cheating in NCAA history? Anyway , it's amazing how not one of the critics has placed any blame whatsoever on the FSU player who instigated the entire thing. Yes , Grayson was wrong. But this has become about him when it should be about BOTH. The guy leaned on Grayson then popped 'im in the head. Here's the FULL sequence. I've viewed the video several times and don't like what Grayson did but like another poster said we don't fully know what went on like Grayson knows. Maybe he just had all he could take. Really the big reason his actions are being so strongly criticized is because he did it in an earlier game. I hate that it happened but don't expect anything to come of it.
You must have taken one too many elbows to the face if you think you're catching grief here for mere disagreement w/ one of our player's actions. We all disapprove of what Grayson did. You and you alone have expressed a desire for him to to be assaulted in retribution for it.
Grayson shouldn't have tripped him-for a bunch of reasons. That said, I have to admit, I couldn't help but laugh while watching all the replays. The other guy was being a dick and Grayson responded in kind. He didn't elbow him in the teeth, jump in his face, or throw a punch. If Adam Sandler did that in a movie and then helped the guy up, making one of his typical wise cracks everyone would be applauding that the guy got exactly what he deserved. That is kind of how I saw it. If the roles were reversed, I would say the same exact thing.

I don't think he helped his team or his school. But (and its is big butt), its not MY call - its K's. He's done what he's going to do.
Time to move on and see what happens for the rest of the season. GA's trip will become a meme for Duke basketball and that is kind of sad.
....if I'm breathing, then I am still a Duke fan. I'm actually in Kansas this weekend for a family funeral. Expecting to get razzed after the service in the way only family can do.
Got to admit I agree. It was a stupid thing to do and he shouldn't do it again, but FSU was being ridiculous and trying to get a steal and basket with 4 seconds left when Jones is just trying to run out the clock. Glad the media and Duke haters though are getting to enjoy their collective outrage.
Lmao, please. If this had been a UNC or UK player everyone here would make jokes about it for months. You're right though, all my posts suggest I'm a closet UNC fan, not a Duke fan. Like I get it, ESPN is over playing this stupid **** and making dumb "villains of Duke" videos, and I agree that those videos are comical...but the no 1 game suspension after 2 of these trips does make the ACC look kind of biased towards K. I trust K has his own way of handling him, but the ACC not doing anything is....meh.
