Thank god. After losing last week to Miami it seems like it's been a decade since we've last played and I considered putting all of my Duke stuff in moth balls!

Any way, on to today. Despite being on the road - again - I still think Duke has a great shot to win this game. Eight days to prepare and hopefully the team continues to get better. Amille getting closer?

In any case, with Duke out of the top 25 for the first time in almost 10 years when it made the tourney as a sixth see and lost to VCU (we all remember). I think this team will be hungry, driven and ready to take its next step this season with a big win.

Tonight's game is set to tip at 9pm est and will air on ESPNU HD.

Felt like forever since the last game. Being that it was an 8 day layoff I wouldn't be surprised to see a little bit a rust coming out of the gate. I think in the end Duke gets a much needed win.

man I hope we win this one. We need to get back on track. With the way we are playing these kind of games are ones we cant afford to lose. I think Duke will take it but it'll be close.

Long rest/time off for this group to regather themselves, refocus and clear their minds. Hope there isn't a ton of rust- hard to say it's a must win in early Feb, but this is starting to become that way. Think we get it done:

I'm sure the players are not deaf to the "bubble" talk, as premature as that is. That can create either pressure or motivation. We'll see which one I guess.

Tech is big and as K likes to say, those guys are "old." Gotta be honest on paper, w/o Amile and on the road I would probably pick Tech...

However Devils are coached by K, and the professor has had a week in the lab!!! Too much for Brian Gregory-

GT's ACC losses are @ UNC by 8, @ Pitt by 5, @ ND by 8, VT by 1, Lou by 4, and @ Cuse by 3. They beat UVA by 1 and NCSU by 7. Every game has been close with them. And yet, I have a weird feeling about this one.

But still, even without Amile we are a superior team, talent-wise. We've had 8 days off and we have the best coach in the game. This is a game we should win. And a game we need to win.

This is the biggest game of the season....to this point. And it's not going to be easy. Georgia Tech has had opportunities to knock off some of the best teams in the conference. They actually led UNC in Chapel Hill with six minutes to go. I'm sure the crowd will be on point for the Jackets. I just want a win.

Wow, I did not realize all those games had been that close. Gonna be a tough one!

I'm nervous about this one..GT is strong inside and I image we will be in some foul trouble.

I think we have to shoot really well or K will have to have something up his sleeve to combat their inside presence. Rebounding will be huge..

I would pick Duke at Cameron..but since it's at GT...

I really think we HAVE to win these next 2 games or we are in serious trouble of missing the tournament...2 games we should win but you just never know especially with one of them on the road.

But we have the GOAT and no doubt in my mind we come out tonight with a chip on our shoulder...and being out of the polls won't hurt that part either.

We win tonight no doubts in my mind....then on to NCState on Saturday

I go to CBSsports all the time and they always have the basketball games featuring top 25 teams at the top of the page. It was just so odd that Duke's game tonight wasn't up there. C'mon boys...let's get back to normal.

With a little time off (which we really needed), Duke has proven in the past to be very prepared, and although I don't in any way think it will be easy, Duke will find a way to get this game. I also think the week for Chase to prepare, and get a little practice and film help, he takes his first step to the big time tonight. There is no better time for him to step up, and man do we need him.

Man, K definitely not there tonight. Hope the worst case scenario is that he ate something that disagreed with him. Kind of puts things in perspective, and makes me feel like I need to appreciate him much more than I do, and believe me, I'm an old man and I really appreciate him!
Get one for "K" guys, and here's to hoping that Coach K gets well soon, no matter how this turns out tonight. God Bless you Coach K---
