I don't care for the two games in a row so they are tired stuff either. The season literally just started, the guys should be fresh as Daisy's...

To think that is to take for granted just how hard these guys play and practice. There's a reason games aren't typically scheduled back to back. Sure it is used as a crutch at times, and I do get what you're saying, but playing two back to back D1 level games for guys who see a lot of minutes (not talking about Pagliuca here) is tough, no ifs ands or buts.

...Amile is gonna be so so pivotal to this season, great to see him back and playing in a Duke uniform. Wish we had 4 more years of this guy.

You might get that with Javin.

We're not very speedy as a team but somehow we get up and down OK. If you squint your eyes, our starting lineup moves around like feisty middle aged guys at the Y.

I do not agree that fatigue was a major factor is our slow start. These kids are 18-22 years old. It may have been a contributing factor but I think the major factor was we took our opponent for granted early on. Only after we got punched in the mouth early and GC showed us that they came to play did we respond and match their intensity. Again fatigue may have been a factor but only in the regard that it is easy to let off the petal against an inferior opponent on the second night of a back to back. Our guys were not nearly fatigued enough after playing one game to use that as an excuse. I expect we will show much greater intensity and focus from the start going forward. I trust that will be a teaching point when they go back and watch the film.

Jack White seems like a mature, competent player. Thank goodness we have someone like that in reserve who can play 2 through 4 in a bind.

I see both Jack and Javin as guys this year at some point who come off the bench in a game and help us win a game and K references their hustle:"Jack and Javin gave us a lift."

Those of you saying they're tired after this short amount of time are delusional

There is a big difference between straight up being fatigued and being tired. Nothing delusional about that. If it was so easy to do, they'd play more back to backs.

Mental fatigue is a very real thing and a much harder thing to master by young players. K alluded to it in his press conference after the game yesterday. Get up 20+ and take foot off the gas and let them get a bunch of easy baskets.
