They should have called a charge on Bezhanishvili against Johnson.
I absolutely despise the way officials allow an offensive player to charge by lowering his shoulder into a defender in good position and just bash him off his position. Bilas only exacerbates that bad trend by arguing that's a good play.
It's a charge. You just dribble, lower your shoulder, and bash right into the defender's chest without his moving. Yet they continually let that go. If you can't get around a defender without bashing him with your body to get him away, you don't deserve to make an offensive play.
Officials never used to allow that.

down 14 thanks to an ofer from 3 and them shooting 75% from 3....even that up and we are in this. Second half need to get a hot hand somewhere but at this point no idea where that comes from
JJ isn't nowhere near ready for NBA but if he decides to go then more power to him...hurt isn't ready either...he will get beat to death in the NBA....and moore won't go to NBA after 4 years at this rate
What concerns me even more is I think he sees it.
But he has to get away from individual talent (which this team doesn’t have much of) and “teach” a team game (which he hasn’t done in years)....because he had wanted to bring in and rely on one and done players to highlight them fir the NBA.
2-2 isn’t a bad start I mean we barely beat Coppin State and Bellarmine. This is just gonna be a hard year.
At this point of his career he can't afford to develop a team over 4 years cause he may not coach 4 more years
Greenburg has spotted the issue of leadership too - where do we go to get the team focused? No upper classmen have that personality
We certainly are not. There isn't one team in the top 25 I think we are capable of beating at this point. We may endure a similar season to the Cheats last year.
That was both the most exciting and frustrating season I can remember in a long time.
Illinois is just tougher. It’s like playing against your older brother in high school and you’re in first grade... just no grown men on this team.
