6 isn't ideal and certainly not what K likes.... But it's reality. We can "steal" some minutes from 7-8 guy but the core is 6. Make the most of it!! Or maybe we should chance a home loss to LBST in order to "rest" some guys. I'm with K on this one
You really believe playing Jeter a bit more would chance a L against LBSU? A 19 point difference?

Being a former collegiate athlete, even 18-22 y/o kids get tired, dog-tired at that. That card simply doesn't work - the demand on a 6-player rotation at a D1 level is silly.

I'm a former collegiate athlete in football. I guess I'm old school, but a D1 athlete should be able to recover!

I saw a post from Duke Basketball on Facebook earlier that I couldn't help but chuckle about a little bit. It was a photo of Marshall throwing down a reverse dunk but in the description they called him Mason.

im old-school as well, but 6 guys in basketball compared to football? Really? Hits are one thing, stamina and endurance are another.

I have to Chuckle when I read the talk about minutes played and being tired.
My goodness, these players are 18-22 years old, their recovery time is not like a 40 yr old. Heck, just back off on the running in practice if need be. It's funny how some people always question Coach K not using his bench and then the Tarhole fans wish Ol Roy would shorten his. I'll trust that Coach K knows what he's doing and leave it at that.

Amen sir! Tell it. When I was 16-20 we'd run basketball for hours and hours everyday, no timeouts and halftime either, in the blistering North Carolina sun during summer. The next day we'd get up and go at it again, if we weren't playing football.

These boys just had 10 days off. I can understand Grayson being tired and maybe Brandon.

Disappointing defense, but yet another stellar game by Grayson, boy is he awesome to watch.

I'd agree with you on the first 17 minutes and some stretches in the mid second half, but I was actually pleased with the D otherwise.

We created a 15 point swing to go up big and continued to climb after that, all in the man to man setting. I don't completely disagree with you, but I think the defense was pretty solid for the majority of the 40 minutes.

I just tend to agree with K..... That's all

Again being so thin really stinks and isn't ideal.... BUT, were coming off a championship, which in turn created some mildly unexpected early deflections and we've had a key injury. K is gonna do everything he can with what he has to work with to "weather the storm". I fully expect a 2-3 seed and a team capable of going deep as a end product here.

Coming off a championship really takes all the stress away for me!

This team is a joy to watch that is for sure

Thanks, I'm glad to see someone else that thinks these young guys should be able to handle the minutes and recover. There's 3 games on the schedule in which there is only one day off between games and that concerns me, but if they have 2 or more days between games I think they should be fine. Heck when I was 45 I was playing games with guys 20 years younger than me and they were wanting breaks between games and I was ready to keep going. Granted, I knew if I stopped it would be really hard to get going again. LOL

Guys, all we can do is trust "K" on his decisions concerning playing time for Chase. I too have often thought that he wasn't playing enough, but in reality, he is not emotionally or matured enough to "get it" right now. I am a firm believer in him, and when "K" gets the message through to him, which is exactly what he is doing right now, a "switch" will come on for Chase and he will be a strong sub! He has shown a few good spurts, but not enough to sustain more time on the floor. He has a great attitude (which we all know is 1/2 the battle), and he has talent, he just needs to translate that to the court. He will be giving valuable minutes in the very near future, because he has that thing called "pride", you can see it.
Go Duke!!

Exactly. Why put a kid in when he isn't ready? A kid like Chase could really be set back if he goes in and constantly fails. Some guys thrive on that. I don't see Chase being one of them.
