After the tripping incident with Louisville, and him swinging his arms and elbows when he was on the ball this last meeting, it was coming to him. Maybe I went overboard saying he needed it, but it was definitely coming to him.
It's not ALL he does, I've just seen him do it a decent amount. Once again - it doesn't change how I feel about him at all, I love his winning mentality and I agree whole heartedly he drives like a mad man, but the head flailing really is something he does.
Stuff like this.
It barely touched him. Ok though.
I think there were two culprits. One, Ingram -- who was a critical part of our gameplan for beating the press a couple weeks ago -- just didn't seem to have the requisite energy and focus. Hence, 10 turnovers. I think that was a huge issue. Two, I'm sure we almost certainly didn't have the energy to have any kind of real practice in advance of the game.
As for the "meltdown" point, I don't buy that at all. The game really turned against us when foul trouble forced us into a zone defense (that has been regularly torched all season) + thornton getting injured, which forced us into a big lineup with Jeter and Plumlee that we've basically never played all season. It's hard not to ignore those major issues. I really wouldn't take much from that game other than the fact that injuries to important player / fatigue got the best of us.
No, no, he clarified that maybe -- maybe -- saying Grayson needed an elbow in the face was a little overboard... but he definitely had it* coming to him. There is no way that guy is a Duke fan. The trolling is transparent.

(*"It" being an elbow to the face.)
This guy is totally legit.
Only Duke players flop. Everybody knows that. Tyler Zeller was a gutsy player who just drew a lot of contact.
It's not a difficult concept, he tripped a player last meeting and then he goes on the ground here and swings his elbow around like a mad man. The Louisville player clearly isn't having it and elbows him. It was coming to him, when you do things like that you can't expect to not get hit back. Once again, I'm sorry you disagree but that's just how it is. They already probably had not so great feelings towards him after that dirty trip he did last game. Keep saying I'm not a Duke fan if it makes you feel better. Done responding to this thread - this argument is going no where.

I had to watch it a couple times but yes it does appear that Grayson may have elbowed him while fighting for the ball. I still believe it was incidental and not purposely done. I still stand on my belief that he did nothing wrong here unlike the incident when he tripped the player. You actually do see pretty clearly that grayson elbowed him in the head. With that being said, I don't think it was malicious at all, unlike the elbow grayson received.
I guess Grayson's consolation is he has to look at his ring finger once in a while, while Lee will have to get some Orville Reddenbacher ready for MarchI don't see any Duke or Grayson haters talking about how Damion Lee got in Grayson's face to talk trash after making a three pointer in the second half. Instead we just praise for what a great kid Damion Lee is. Pretty sure Grayson doesn't get in anyone's face after he makes a shot.
Grayson must have had that coming to him, too.I don't see any Duke or Grayson haters talking about how Damion Lee got in Grayson's face to talk trash after making a three pointer in the second half.
