State is 11-8..yet they look like a Top 5 team against us....we get everyones best but we need to bring our best too...this team needs to play with more aggression - play with a chip on their shoulder
Offensively State is showing how to move and attack - we need more of that on our attacking side too
I never post during games for fear of jinxing the team, but what difference will it make today?
We're not going to win this game. They're shooting lights out and we have missed the opportunity to jump on them, then hang on. Going to a ranked Miami team next looks like a 5th loss in a row. I have faith and hope for the season, but we just don't have the development for the K magic to bibbity-bobbity-boo us to a winning streak starting today.
Maybe I can reverse jinx it, which is crow I not only eat happily, but order instead of a steak when someone else is paying.

We lack quickness of mind this season. Tyus and Quinn had unbelievable vision and anticipation. Amile operates similarly in the paint. Pair those three with two finishers like Justise and Oak, and that's a title. All 5 of those guys are gone now. We have finishers and role players, but no mediators. We're an organizational mess on D, and force everything on O. We have the talent to be much better, but no set up men.
We haven't been able to hold on to leads in the 2nd half...so we'll see if we're any better at coming from behind.

Not true last game Grayson shot at the buzzer that went in but was .1 sec late
I'm gonna drink an abnormal amount this season. This just makes my head hurt.

I don't think you can say our kids don't play hard. I saw a lot of good things except for the last 1 1/2 minutes. We attacked off the dribble more, defensive rebounding was good except for one possession (granted State did pull a lot of shots out of their a$$). I dont think we forced any bad shots from 3 pt land, I think Grayson shot one way too early in shot clock. Ingram started asserting himself offensively late in half. We just have to get something out of Matt Jones!

Heart gets you a medal at the YMCA....but not a win on the road in the ACC - need a mean streak to go with it!
The four 3 balls in a row by NC St. are what killed us in that half. We can't match hot teams in scoring lately because we are struggling with our shooting.
The thing that is killing me is chunking up the 3 ball and the lack of crashing the boards. I mean Basketball 101 is crash the boards. Jeez...
We need to play smarter not meaner. Grayson and Plumlee stay mean, and it's not working.
Rebound and get back in this game as I don't believe state will maintain hot outside shooting

One thing is for sure, when we are on offense, we need to get 1 man to stay back, and 4 to crash the boards! Tired of seeing Marshall as the only one on the boards against 3 or 4 of the opposing team all around him.
The only chance we have to get this one is to "wax hot" and hope they cool down in the 2nd half. Ingram has got to assert himself and Kennard must start hitting, or it's over. "K" needs to turn Grayson loose also. We can still get this game, but the above things have to happen, and the kids have to reach down deep! Damn it guys, Go for it!!

We hung close on the boards, but we're 3 of 14 and they're 6 of 9 from 3. Luke had a couple of 3's ring out.

I still think a pack line man to man is the way to go and force everyone to shoot over the top of us with a hand in their face. I'm not sure why we havnt seen it...it would help our rebounding also.
Zone leaves to much space and our overplay is a constant breakdown off penetration.

It's up to the team. We should have a lead but just can't make a big play. I don't know what the answer is. We are better than what we are showing. Maybe we just give the ball to Allen and tell every one else to get out of the way. I also think NCSU could shoot half court hook shots and they would go in. OFC

I love these runs, but man, most everything we do on offense is one on one, with maybe a dump off right at the rim.
