Maybe this will help the negative Nancy's out a little bit. The regular season is over, Next up the ACC Tournament, rematch with the cheats, if they make it, because Duke sure will. Then the NCAA Tournament. I say all that to say this. Everybody starts 0-0 for both. It's about to get real and I'll take my boys against any team in america. Hope this help calm some down. If not, pray and get you a Rottweiler lol.
I was out 6 weeks but again was not on the level of Bolden in terms of athletic ability.
Duke has been without him for five games want to be fan have they adaptited? I’m sorry if you think one player is gonna return and make Dukes problems go away. But what do I know right Duke was in such a tair prior to Zion getting hurt. Now take Bolden out the picture and hope Zion returns. I mean it weren’t like teams weren’t already packing the paint on Duke and making them prove they could shoot from three.
Saying injuries cost us two games against our most hated isn't an excuse, because they absolutely did. We can't replace Zion and Bolden 's production and rim protecting abilities. Should guys step up? Sure, but if we're healthy it wouldn't have mattered.
they made 4 more 3's than us....all in a small shooting spree by White...that got them up double digits...we still had a chance. Our inability to shoot 3's is known and a huge achilles heel. Without an inside game we wont be able to beat better teams because we dont shoot well enough. 3 scoring options is the minimum we need....right now we have 2...and those are not always consistent
If that's the case, it really hurts. Marques is/was a big contributor. That said, Zion is the most dominating player in the NCAA's, and having him back is huge.

Man I will take this team with a healthy Zion against anybody Anytime even if we don’t have Bolden. Hoping for the best for the young man but let’s roll next Thursday tourney time now!
It's not only Zions scoring and D, it's his presence and energy that the whole team feeds off of, that's the biggest thing missing out there, and other teams fear it.

What problems did Duke have when he played before missing the 5 games? I recall beating VA without Tre, losing to cuse without Tre and Cam. Both games had Zion. I recall losing one game to Gonzaga with a healthy team. So what problems are you speaking of with Zion in the lineup?
So apparently RJ played against less than JV competition all season as he broke scoring records.
Okay, so what you're saying is in five games Duke should've become as good as we were with Zion? Sorry man, you take one of the 5 best players in college basketball history off of any team and they will never be as good. It isn't feasible, we have adapted, hell it was a close game pretty much the whole way, we just can't replace Zion.

What grade did you have? Sorry don’t mean to pry, I had a grade 1 when I was playing and I was back practicing after about a week and a half... granite it looked in the replay that it was more likely a grade 2-3

My one concern, and we should all be concerned about this, is our lack of a consistent 3rd scoring option, and 3 point shooting. It’s not free throw shooting.
Cam just hasn’t been consistent enough, and I cringe every time he drives to the basket. Alex is the only other option, but he was a non factor in a game where we needed his scoring.
For those that complain about RJ, you don’t know the difference between crap and crisco.

I may not know exactly what would've happened, but I can tell you UNCheat doesn't shoot 36-55 from two in the first game with Zion, and we sure as **** wouldn't have taken 40 threes. Also, a we would've won at least one, but most likely two, because healthy Duke is a much, much better team than UNC. Fact.

This gets me fired up. The beat player in the country back with 3 weeks rest is really something we’ve never seen
Now you made a good point, IPSY! We haven't been making them that much, but we still won...when we had all our starters on the court. The few times we got hot from 3 we were unbeatable. Shooting is our weakness, no doubt, but we have the players to overcome it (if available) for the most part.
And I'm not picking on you, IPSY, I know you're a Duke fan that just wants to win (like us all). I think you're just a little frustrated (hell we all are to a certain extent). We might get our azz handed to us in the NCAA's, but I think we're going to go a long ways...no matter who we play. We'll see next week how we start off.

Brutal day. Losing the game, losing Bolden who has a sprain, and the board has apparently turned on themselves like a pack of starving hyenas. With no Bolden we need Zion back. Get him back and we can still small ball to the title or at least the Elite 8. Damn these injuries.
That’s the big thing is re-Injury is real likely! He would definitely need a brace (if he can come back)
