Not bad effort...just came up short
close...but our weaknesses cost us again....7 FT total...and a crucial TO at the end. Our end games the last few years have been poor. Love with a massive game and they shoot lights out from 3 to beat us by 4. GTHC
This team is mentally weak and plays with low iqs
Moore??? He didn’t even Look at the basket. Had a layup right there.
This team has talent but they lack more court sense/smarts/savvy than any Duke team I’ve seen. Everyone of these guys should come back. Zero ready for the next level. They need a Ton of off-season work.
And perhaps someone in the staff will do some Effective Teaching about basketball.

If this team had any basketball IQ at all they would have won that
This is honestly the worst Duke team and product on the floor since I started watching Duke in 1986....
they looked better. They really did. And the staff looked better on the bench too. Just stupid mistakes are what killed this team.
At worst he had the step and would have gotten the foul if he followed though. So disappointing.

I’m still watching but this is by far the most frustrating team to watch. It’s just ugly basketball.

I’ve said this a few times but there isn’t a guy out there who just says, give me the rock boys, I’m not letting us lose.
Last game was lack of effort. Tonight was lack of experience. We will miss the tourney cause of lack of talent
Who? This isn’t Duke this is a glorified g-league team . If you want to go pro just come to Duke I mean Johnson did nothing and still ranked number six in the draft.
Yeah it’s kinda hard to beat teams when our best player fouls out with only seven points.
I will say this: with that above statement, WE STILL HAD A CHANCE TO WIN! How rare is that? The effort and fight is there. Cutting down on the turnovers would also help. UNC could’ve blown our doors off, but the guys fought all night.
Our lack of height and length on the perimeter will allow bad shooting teams a career night against us. And despite all of that, we still almost won a game we had no business being in at the end.

Not only am I sick of the one and done, I’m sick of our “veterans” being sophomores

What lack of height? We had Moore, Baker and Johnson. We act as if Love and Walton were 6’9 “ inch shooters. Players come to Duke now for exposure that’s it. Should Duke have lost ? Heck No. it’s the more discipline team that won. When you don’t play players and allow for no adjustment your gonna loose. If Hurt realizes he can take Brooks off the dribble sure Duke wins but he allowed him to dictate his play. Johnson is not the player anyone thought . It’s time to give the players who want to return time to adjust and let the NBA headed players ride the pine their stock won’t change anyway. Duke is just beyond down this year and anyone who jumps ship I don’t blame them.
Yeah I did. Better as in not as frickin bad. This Duke team has looked way worse and quite frankly I think we all expected a beat down . Yeah goldwire was bad most of the game but was decent at the end. We should’ve won though. I’m so pissed.

Sophomores with very little playing time from the year before so they are basically freshmen too on the court
It’s crazy: Our Big 3 Freshmen (Johnson, Roach and Steward) combined for 41 points; our Big 3 Sophomores/Junior (Moore, Hurt and Baker) combined for just 33 points. So, blaming this loss on OAD or freshmen isn’t backed up by stats.
