How was it not an intentional/flagrant foul when the UNLV player grabbed Grayson from behind when he was dribbling down the court? it looked like he grabbed Grayson's jersey and wasn't making a play on the ball.
No doubt there will be some tough games ahead. Tough road ACC games and two challenges against UNC. And, there are teams in the tourney that could give us some trouble (UK, 'Nova).
Those caveats aside, this team has some insane talent and if they stay healthy, are able to gel, they will be deadly and will crush some quality teams.

UNLV isn't good. At all. That said, you're either blind or in denial if you watch this as a neutral observer and come away thinking Duke isn't really, really good.

This is the best team in America. And we aren't even at our ceiling. When Giles plays next game and we get more familiar together, scary. Scary.

Also, even though it's garbage time, I've been finding it interesting lately that Javin has been seeing time on the wing. Methinks he's going to be filling that role one day.

I was think the same thing QC. I still don't see how UNX can match up with this team. Hopefully we will be hitting on all cylinders come February.
We needed a blow out like that like a baby needs milk. Good statement on our depth and takes care of that 30 pt. loss back in 1990. Gtayson put on some kind of show huh guys. No matter who the opponent it is we need to come out to a destroy frame of mind. No matter who it is. OFC
The biggest positive from this game: the black jersey curse appears to be null and void this season.

I'm sorry I've watched Kentucky,VIlly, UNC, UCLA, Gonzaga, hell everybody! right now they may give us some trouble, but come the time when we may or will play these teams,there's no way anybody can matchup and play with us .The only and I mean only way I see us losing is if we beat ourselves.
Freshmen aside, we have the best 1-2 punch in the nation with Grayson and Luke. I don't care what they say about Kansas. Amile is arguably the most complete power forward in the nation. It's scary to think that we have guys that are longer and more talented than those three! The freshmen seem to get it, we look like we have great chemistry, there are no sure things in life, but damn, I will get my hotel and flight to Arizona for the first weekend in April. I believe in this team!
I enjoyed the glimpses of our potential on defense!! I love turning ppl over and getting out on the break! It's something that has been missing for a few years now!

Thanks dj. Always level headed dj. I've been thinking the same. Yesterday was great but even in that blow out we had some things that we need to work on. I believe Coach K feels the same as you do and I believe he has addressed this with the team. With that said I believe we can win every single game on the rest of the regular season schedule and can run the ACC tourney and NCAA tourney also but we could also lose 3 or 4 of those if we are not ready to play. I can't wait until the next game OFC
Before someone posts about the quality of competition again, look at how UNC is dealing with Tenn so far at home; Duke's win was impressive no matter how you look at it

If the only criteria for very beatable is college basketball is one game at a time, then I totally agree. But from here on out Duke is going to be favored in EVERY game. And they should be. I've known you for a long time on this board dj, so I know your jinx rule, so I'm guessing that's what this is. But K has worked 34+ years to get to this point where it is quite alright to not feel like Duke is the underdog. If I'm taking Duke vs. the field, obviously smart money is on the field because anything can happen. We know this. But from a look and see stand point, IMO there is nothing wrong with objectively looking at what Duke is putting on the floor and realizing that it is a damn good product.
I don't disagree....and I'm not trying to jinx. When healthy we're the best team. Hands down. But I don't think we're exponentially better than everyone else.
Lots of times the 'best' or 'clearly best' team hasn't won. It's happened to us before. Make no mistake, if Duke is going to reach their goal this season they will have to play really, really well to get there.
