The very difficult portion of the schedule is officially on us. The positive part of it is that we're kicking off the first two games at home and maybe that will give us a shot of confidence.

Anyway, on to today. Virginia is Virginia at this point and plays exactly how a Coach Bennett team should. They're gritty, tough minded, play great defense and have great leadership on the floor. They won't beat themselves.

I've never picked against Duke, and won't start today. Game is slated for a 4:30pm est tip and will air on ESPN HD.

I get what you're saying kville but i don't like Bennett's formula. It leads to too many close games and early losses in the tourny. They've only made it to the sweet sixteen under him, so i wouldn't say they've shown the ability to compete for a championship yet.

I like the way we have played defense since the switch at halftime of the GT game.

The three ball is the key..if we shoot well we win and if we don't we don't.

Anyone else surprised Vegas has Duke as 2 point favorites? Virginia is AP #7, KenPom #2, and RPI #6. Seems like they are begging for people to bet Virginia.

As for the game, we keep playing better D and hit the 3 ball, it will be another quality win for us.

All close predictions. I really think we get a 10 point win. We shoot well at home after a home game. I feel like Grayson and others will force their way into the middle and suck it the defense for shooters. Also I think Ingram will do a bunch over the top of shorter guys.

I'll go against the grain, don't shoot the poster: 68-66 UVA with defense and Brogdon comes up with big shots. Goes without saying, hope I'm dead wrong

At this point, I would think I should learn not to post the gameday thread after I've taken an Ambien haha. It always cracks me up to wake up the next day and see how brutal my post was after...Needless to say, I've done a little editing ;)

I don't care if we win by 1 point as long as we win....need Thornton to continue to grow and need Luke to come up big once again

UVA is almost(I say almost) on par with UNC on my hatred list....can't stand anything to do with them....we HAVE to get this win today

Duke has been playing well lately, but Virginia is very disciplined. I worry about the foul trouble rearing it's ugly head again today. Our horses have to be on the floor to win this game.

Just want a W, don't care what the score is. This game is huge and will be a pivotal game when we look back on the season in April.

"Virginia's Grown Men too Much for Duke's Youngsters". Virginia 73 - Duke 71. I read this the other day and I detect a little doubt in the statement by looking at the predicted score! To the sports writer that posted this, I like your confidence :)cool:)! I would also like to add that if these "youngsters" play together today, and by some odd chance "wax hot", the Basketball Gods might frown on your selection and just shine down on Cameron!
Personally, I think that is exactly what is going to happen. Duke wins it biggest game to date.

Since Kansas OU will prob go 2 OT's, anyone know what alternate channel Duke will be on? Espn news? I'm not watching live and need to record. Thanks!!
