So the truth was "almost impossible to determine"...when you say NOONE, you refer to homer Dookies...Everyone north of Durham did not need the replay...

So you say it's a travel we say close call and a good no call at the end of the game. How about we call it even with all those terrible offensive fouls called on Duke? Especially the one when Ingram had a put back and they waved it off. There's the other 2 points to make up for the 'travel' so game over.

Lame. Besides , everyone "north of Durham" would find some reason to whine even if UVA pulled out a gun and shot 'im twice before the ball went in. Of course , us "DOOKIES" are used to it because , well , Duke is Duke. Sucks , don't it? Lulz.

I think he traveled but I also think he got fouled before he did. His shot was lucky as heck and I don't give a crap, a win is a win! I'll take it all day and twice when we play UNC lol.

You have to be pretty strong to get that shot to go in, through a foul, and on the bottom of your jump.

Are ppl complaining about the number of steps, or if his foot touched the ground, before the ball left his hand?

Wow a UVA fan talking s***.on the Duke board. If you couldn't get us in Cameron this year you won't ever get us. However, we DO have a big game coming up Wednesday, so thank you for the scrimmage to get us ready........move along now.

In regards to that Twitter pic/comment...he took two steps, elevated and yes he landed before he released the ball, but while getting mugged along the way....but as I said earlier, it was pretty had to tell in real time w/o the assistance of replay

Me too, I didn't even consider his move. I was worried about when he released it. Either way, it doesn't matter.

Yep he was walking. He also got fouled. Why no outcry for Brogdons push off on Matt jones play before? So obvious.

Freaking awesome man. Boy I love duke!!!

I see you spell about the same way Tar Heels fans do. Wahoo Wah Wahhoo Wah. You know you have a top notch and classy coach. Your players seem to have class also. Most of all UVA fans I know are good fans that seem to be logical. What happened to you? Are you sure you're not a Tar Heel fan? You have some o the same demeanor as they do. I challenge you as a UVA fan. OFC

He did not travel before leaving the ground, he took two steps after gathering the ball. His right foot did come back down and touch the floor before he released the ball but in real time it was not obvious and required a frame by frame slow-mo to see. That happens quite often in basketball, not just on shots but also on passes, and is rarely called, if ever, especially when the foot coming back down is so close to when the ball is released. No ref is ever going to make that call, if the roles were reversed and Brogdon did the same thing the ref wouldn't make the call and that's regardless of when the play is made during the game. It's just not a situation in which that rule is applied stringently.

Whether someone wants to argue that the traveling rules should be applied more stringently in basketball as a whole is a fair argument but as it stands now, every team and every player in college and the pros would have a no-call on the same play that Grayson made. Of course everybody wants to see Duke lose, it's a big reason for Duke's high TV ratings, so it's a bigger deal than when the no-call would happen for other teams.

Scoreboard don't lie. Duke is the winner, now, tomorrow, 150 years from now, eternity. Get over it.

My take is that if that had been at Rupp arena or chapel hill, it would have been the same result in favor of the home team. Everyone wants to make issue about it because it's Duke. Duke won and that's that! There were also some questionable foul calls on Duke that made me mad so in the end it evens itself out.

Bob Harris...

In the first couple seconds you can see Tyus and Jah on the left, watching from the crowd like regular students/fans. I bet they could have gotten seats "above the rail," but I love that they're just mixed in w/ the Crazies.

With a minute or so left in the game, Bob Harris commented on the radio about all our missed FTs. He said, something like, "Let's hope those don't come back to haunt us."

My question for UVa fans right now: When was the last time a team's missed FTs came back to haunt the opponent?

I'll give you that the players and coach but fans....the ones in Raleigh two years ago when they played in the first round were just obnoxious. Cussing little kids and talking trash to the opposing fans was just classless. I throw their fan base in the same category as Tarherl fans and Washington Capitals fans.

Caps fan here, have been for 32 years, played for Junior Caps and spent hundreds of games at Cap Centre and MCI/Verizon. Far from "unclassy" fans, not sure where you had your experience?
