Defense. Defense. Defense.

I really think it's as simple as that.

I would love it if we shot 3s better, but I think even that starts with defense.

If this team plays defense the way it is capable of, that opens up the fast break, which really gets these guys alive and confident because they will dominate in the open court.

And that really opens up 3s as the opponent is disorganized defensively. And if we are playing great defensively and getting some easy baskets, we'll be more relaxed shooting 3.

Watching Kenny Smith and Charles support their teams is great.

If it were Jay Bilas, no matter who Duke was playing, he'd have to be 1/3 Duke, 1/3 UNC, and leave a 1/3 for himself.

We’re going to defend the perimeter well, we always do, if they’re nailing contested shots it’ll be a battle. So let’s hope we got enough of our dose of that last week.

Hope Reddish isn’t an injury or sickness and just disciplinary..

As said before it makes sense to put goldwire. It seems like he’s won the first guard off the bench role. I don’t mind Alex starting but it’s a huge head scratcher to start a healthy player you didn’t play in a nail biter last week who could’ve helped spread ucfs interior defense.

Not sure this is the game I want to see a ton of minutes from Alex...I’ve always thought we needed his shooting to space the floor but this is not the squad to have defensive lapses...we can’t leave shooters wide open against VT
