What to do... What to do....?

I'm tied from a percentage standpoint for the title of top DVC prognosticator. Will my clairvoyant skills lead me to this years peanut gallery game picker title, or will I crack under the pressure and draw a 15 yard personal foul penalty that allows one of the other pickers to kick a last second FG to beat me?

My Dilemma's:
  1. The safe play would be to not pick any games this week, play defense, and force the action onto NN/Stoned/Anom etc. to drive the field and come up with the winning picks to overtake me.
  2. Even if I thought WV was overmatched.....I just can't find it in my self to pick against WV... and that issue would force me to go with option one - the safe play above.
To hell with it - I'm going to be a Conference Homer and pick both WV and GBN to win and advance.

I am picking WV over Linocln Lincoln Way East.. as my Feeto upset of the week.......Because I Beleive Believe!!!!!

I am picking GBN over ESL in a tight one as my bracket buster pick of the week!!! (assuming GBN heading down tomorrow nite and not at 5am in the morning for the 1pm kickoff).

The deck was stacked against the DVC this year, just brutal. Probably wasn't a state champion team in the group IMO.

Good Question Swag! I like NaNo's stuff but if he doesn't come up with a reasonable explanation for that blasphemy, I am going to hit ignore and report him to edgy. Now I can't unsee it!

Gotta hand it to Gooms. He called the DVC being down. Didn't he refer to the conference as a "dumpster fire"? I know someone did.

It was MCHS. But If memory serves - the dumpster fire was the ESCC and the DVC was merely "down". Unless MCHS has downgraded the DVC in his mind to Dumpster fire status.

I disagree with his assessment, but I think part of it is that everyone expects there to be one or two super dominant teams each year in the DVC or ESCC and at least in the DVC - there were just a lot of good teams top to bottom. But not a dominant one. Hey, that lake park win over Dekalb is looking better and better. LP went 1-7 in the DVC conference play.

The DVC moves to Dumpster Fire status if GBN and WV lose this weekend.

Fair Enough. So the litmus test is a conference has to get one of it's teams into the Quarters each year and falling below that threshold is Dumpster Fire status?

CCL Blue should be safe with Loyola. Upstate 8 valley burning in a dumpster after round one, SW Prarie has hope - but Oswego would have to carry the mantel. Still hope for WSS.

Slow down young Jedi. CCL-B has already been relegated to the alley, aflame, despite LAs prominence.

yes they are down, but to the level of dumpster fire?

Ok - maybe we need to resurrect the 5 alert levels from just after 9/11. can't remember exactly but they were colors yellow, orange etc.

what classification is worse than dumpster fire? there are conferences a lot worse than the CCL Blue of 2016.

1 - BrickHouse - no one touches this conference.
2. Woodhouse - only the brickhouses can knock them down
3. StrawHouse - better than being out in the rain
4 Dumpsterfire - well no one wants to live in a dumpster and now it's in the alley on fire
5. ??????

5. Doghouse - oh wait, that is something I am familiar with but not related to high school football. Sorry, will try again later.

I like GN to pull off the upset. Massey has them as -7, but I think they have it in them.

Of course I made the same pick in week 1 of '15 against MC and that didn't quite pan out, so...

I never said anything this year about any conference as week 10 was the 1st week I got to see games as a fan.
