NV VS WWS:
A school of 4000 kids vs a school of 2000 kids. I think NV roster depth is just too much for WWS to overcome. I take NV and their 8 RB rotation in this game (31 to 17 score prediction)

WV VS NC:


LP VS NN:
Wow this is a very interesting game! Lake Park needs a win either here or against Wheaton North. NN might be in danger of getting complacent after their blow out win? Game at LP..... geez what to do? I take NN - I think they spread out LP and score enough to win. (29 to 21 score prediction)

Metea VS WN:
The QB rotation in Metea's offense looks to be just one now. Game is at Metea. WN will be in a bad mood after the their performance against NN... .............Wow tough one - I'm going to take Metea. I don't have a warm fuzzy feeling on this pick - but I want Metea to get off the snide and into the win column. I like their offense - not sure about their defense. (28 to 24 score prediction)

GBN VS Thorton:
I will take Glenbard North 42 to 10 score prediction

I have to get in on this action, LOVE THE DVC (and GBN)

NV over WWS (can't disagree, is it possible WWS will not win a game!?!)
WV over NC (NC will get better but not ready to beat WV this week)
LP over NN (interesting pick, would be a good win for LP but have to go NN)
Metea over WN (WN can't afford to lose this game and should bounce back)
GN over Thornton (starters should be resting at some point in the 2nd half)

Welcome aboard GoGBN2013.
The thing with WN is they are dealing with a lot of injuries and I don't think some of those kids will be playing tonight. Otherwise, I would go with WN.
I watched the NN/Metea game & saw the NN QB throw two picks (and almost had two other throws intercepted) in the first half alone. These bad throws all came against pressure. When not pressured he looks fine.
In a close game, against a good LP D-Line, this could be a difference maker. Win the TO battle, win the game.

Good analysis, that LP line is big and aggressive, have not seen them play this year yet but since the Panthers are playing tomorrow (and should not be a game) may need to get up to Roselle tonight.

The Wildcats are just too strong for the Tigers this year, despite suspensions.

NC over WV
Upset alert! Redhawks improving every week, catch Warriors sleeping. Turnovers the difference! WV with tons of speed on both sides, but Redhawk D keeps 'em close. WV player suspended for this game.

LP over NN
LP with nice speed at RB and WR, solid QB. Good defense. Close game. NN has an off night against under-rated LP, who beat a pretty good DeKalb squad last week. LP had WV on the ropes week one. Winnable game for the Huskies, just think 4-0 would be too good to be true.

MV over WN
Metea QB Thorne is just a sophomore, future star. MV better than their record, would win the Upstate Eight Valley. WN will have trouble with MV's athleticism. Anom says the Falcons are banged up, and JCA win looking less impressive.

GN over Thornton
Running clock in this one. Will be ugly.

The Bad: boy my upset pick Sure didn't work out with Bronco over BR

The Ugly: NNFan's upset pick was right on the money. Wow very nice win for NC. Good first half for WV,...but an absolutely fantastic second half for NC.

I didn't pick it. I thought when I picked them last week that I Put the Kiss of Death (KOD) on them in the 24-17 loss to Neuqua. Since you didn't fully pick NN last week and they won - I thought you had the good vibes and right idea....So I swore off picking any game WV is playing for the rest of the year. That's why I didn't pick the game.

But yes your right - I can't/won't pick against WV so if you guys want to put me down for 4-1 (assuming GBN takes care of Thornton) I'm cool with that. I was real worried about this game going into it - my fears turned out to be justified.

Abstaining from picking the WV games sure didn't help! We still lost.

You are almost spot on like a clairvoyant (except for the sleeping part I hope).

- I think WV turned it over 5 times? Two picks and 3 fumbles lost? Couple of other fumbles that the offense recovered or it could have been worse.

- key penalties at bad times: in the last two games we must have jumped or been offsides or false start 8 to 10 times. - mental mistakes.

- NC coaching staff made some great adjustments and personnel tweaks at half time.

- NC completely shut down WV offense in the 2nd half (no points from Offense in 2nd half!! The defense scored 2 points though)

- and the NC offense was completely dominant in the 4th quarter.
