MSU is going to have a record enrollment this fall, and the studentsseemed too packed in already in Davis Wade Stadium. Am I right? Did they have enough room and if not, what are we going to do? Limit student tickets? Just pack 'em in tighter?

We SHOULD have expanded the North Endzone bleachers as soon as the 2009 season was over. Wouldn't have been too expensive, and would have allowed another couple thousand fans right away and allow us to fit an over capacity 60,000 for the bigger home games.

The new North endzone seats could have been designated for students or visitors, and therefore would have opened up more sideline seats for alums.

The new endzone sections would have always looked full--the studentswould have been able to stretch outand "fill in" the new North endzone seats that weren't sold for the lesser home games.

Student season tickets sold out last season and will again this season.
No way they were going to throw money into temporary enlarging something that will be replaced in the next 5 years especially not with extremely cheap student tickets.
Yes there will be more demand for tickets but I doubt they sell out in less than a day or anything as they do at many other conference schools...it took weeks last year for the students
to finally do their part and sell out...and that was the first time ever.

So I wouldnt be in any rush to worry about expanding for the students.

The students all pack into the sideline section and fill up the endzone bleachers. There is a designated section in the deck above the student section, but I don't think it fills up. They need to start limiting the bottom capacity and send folks that get there late up top. They attempted to do it last year during a few games, but security ended up having to let people through because they couldn't hold the mass of people back.

every game last they have out armbands..when they ran out you couldnt get in that section anymore...at least before halftime
I got to the game late a couple times and had to go up top.

They do give out armbands, but I saw a couple of times when folks were just piling up at the bottom of the ramp and pushing forward. Security could do nothing to stop everyone from coming in since no one could actually turn around and walk down the ramp. They need to figure out a better way to do it if they actually want to enforce the seating limits</p>

Highest price for the lower section, then bleachers, then upper deck. $10 a ticket would just be $70, but I think would be more than they charge right now??? Of course, I hate sitting in the upper deck and as a student (or now) the only reason I would have bought those tickets for any reason would have been so I could try to sneak down to the lower level.

is stop bitching about how much season tickets cost and pay more. Our season tickets last year were $35. Are you kidding me? Our season tickets could be $100 and you wouldnt hear a word out of me, but then theres no way we would sell out season tickets because there are not near enough students that would pay that for tickets. Which gets back to one of my biggest pet peeves about State fans...

Our student tickets were rediciously low priced at $3 a game for a long time.. $5 is still too low but its progress..you cant jump too high at once. $100 might be a little much
Texas is $70 for a ticket ($135 for guarnteed reserved ticket) Florida is $70...so $10 is about right around the nation.

but it needs to be almost yearly. even $10 a game at this point would still be reasonable in my mind. If you say we sell out again, thats a significant raise in the revenue for just one season...

this year should be a jump from $5 to $7 and round it to $50 even instead of 49...it will still sell out with no problems considering the excitement of the upcoming year and the record breaking student size increasing yet again.
