"We also met this week with Bob Luke of LPK Architects of Meridian, Miss., and a national architectural firm, to begin discussions on possible renovation plans for Davis Wade Stadium. We are in the very early stages of discussion for the football playing facility, but we realize that upgrades to that complex are also a "need."

Bob is also spearheading the university's Master Plan for facility enhancement, of which athletics is a part."

Nothing new, but nice to see they're atleast starting to get some plans together.</p>

.."renovation" and "expansion" interchangeably, or else the needle on my excitement meter just plummeted.

Stubborn, uncreative, and not very talented, but persevere through connections and reputation.

I guess they are a "good ol' boy" firm.

Anyway, I have a soft spot for them because they gave my sister a chance when she graduated from MSU.

She has moved on to bigger and better things now, but you never forget where you start.

"Let me know if your sister has ambiguous genitalia because I feel anybody associated with anybody else associated with that 17ing eyesore should be kicked in the balls."

Is that over the line? How about,

"I'd like to shake the hand of the man that bitchslapped whoever is responsible for that piece of **** building."

It is slightly above the glorious Allen Hall design. I want to sock not only the architect, but everyone in the approval process for that one.

I've never met anyone that thought the design of this building was a good idea, however I'd rather blow-up Allen Hall first followed by the HHSC.

I've never seen my sister's genitalia. I know that's common in many of y'alls families, but ... I have no idea.

Fortunately, she had nothing to do with that monstrosity and had moved on to another firm by then. She did work on the football stadium expansion though. I know some of you have complaints about that too.

from Allen. In the 70's (or whenever the hell allen was built), lots of people were building ugly ****. A lot of people have learned their lesson since then. For example, the guy who donated the money for the building directly opposite lee hall (Schwann hall or something? Chemical engineering building?); I always heard people in the architecture department pitched a fit about copying Lee Hall, presumably because it wasn't ugly as ****. We should blow HHC the 17 up while it's still nice on the inside to teach us a lesson about building ugly ****.

why Mississippi State University is absolutely opposed to an open public bidding process for campus building? I simply don't get it. I sense that GB is dragging us out of the "good ol' boy" process, but we ain't out yet.

After the renovation is complete they will go back to the endzone and finish it. The guy I talked to said they didn't want to lose any capacity so they are doing the endzone first. That was the idea anyway.
