Grant played 14 minutes and was O-5 from the field with 1 rebound and 1 assist. Not a great debut. But comparable to Ogbole’s 15 minutes 0-0 from field, 6 rebounds and 0 assists; Derkack who played 24 minutes 1-3 from field with 5 rebounds and 4 assists; J Davis who played 11 minutes and shot 0-2from field with 0 rebound and 3 assists; Hayes who played 8 minutes with 1-5 from field with 0 rebounds and O assists; and the best comparator of them all - Martini - who played 12 minutes and went 0-0 from the field with 2 rebounds and 0 assists. So, the answer is “yes”, he is ready to “contribute “, just as much as the others mentioned have contributed.

he played well. with a few better rolls on the rim, he would have scored at least 7 points.

Think he's going to start eating into others minutes.

I'm guessing Pike is going to lean toward the better athletes who will defend and rebound and just let ace and dylan be great on offense.

Think you're top 7 end up being

Ace and Dylan getting the most minutes by far.
Derkack and JWill next
Sommerville
Grant and Ogbole

I don't know who rounds out the rotation. Acuff could be the guy but man he looks flat footed on defense and only at 30% from 2 which is scary bad. Hayes and Martini looked better early but are exposed on defense and their shooting has gone cold. Pike has the loyalty to JMike but he's just not doing much of anything when he's out there. Think two end up being the odd the men out and we only go 9 deep.

He passes the eye test. Also liked the way he moved his feet laterally and switched on D.

Would like to see more, and once his shots start to fall, he’ll be a key role player for us.

Based on the other day he’s not ready. Appeared to lack the strength to finish around the rim

Dercack had 5 rebounds and 4 assists. Was disruptive and distributing. And only took 3 shots (which is a good thing…right)…. Just sayin he doesn’t belong on your list of non-/low-contributors.

There were 8 Rutgers players that scored three or less points against Texas A&M.In a game decided by four points bench scoring must improve.

Grant debuted in the Wagner game where he went 0-2 and had 2 boards in 3 minutes.
