The chicks are getting much larger and are confident hanging around the edge of the nest....while the parents are comfortable leaving them alone for long periods of time.

Visit HERE TO SEE THE LIVE CAM.

If you visit the live feed you'll see the eagles panting on a regular basis (even in 70 weather). They have no sweat glands....

Spreading their wings also helps... ...as you can see the span is already unexpectedly wide.

Which site do you use to watch these?

I'll keep the bold or underline suggestion in mind next time....until it possibly becomes automated.

I've always preferred a color the was obviously diff than the rest of the text.

Yeah just anything that makes it stand out would be better. Hopefully I can get it fixed soon.

Eaglets crapped all over the camera late yesterday or early this morning.

Fprio, can you tell which of your posts I quoted ? I'm guessing...no.

Yea...early in this whole eagle cam thing I wondered how the nest didn't get covered with bird sh$#. My guess was that nesting material (maybe something like the corpse of a skunk) was constantly being added to cover it up.

....but after watching the live link now and again I noticed that the chicks instinctively (I guess) learned to bend over and shoot a stream (very similar looking to Silly String) of waste that almost always cleared the nest.

--------------

Hopefully the next rainfall will help clear the HD camera...because approaching an active nest is against the law and won't be happening.

Yes, the second one. Can you tell which one I deleted?

I liken the shooting sh*& to an ejaculation....

I have been watching them on a daily basis since the eggs were hatched. I can not get much done because I am fascinated by the eagles and spend too much time viewing their activities. It is amazing how much the babies have grown over such a short period of time.
