Men - Last Four Byes

Women - First Four Out

I wouldn't get too hyped up over this team and can't see them making the field. Too many holes in the lineup. Plus, their D is horrible. ISU exposed us.

I don’t disagree. I think the Iowa State game really lowered my expectations for the men’s team. Losing is one thing, but a comedy of errors like that was just embarrassing and hard to watch.

My expectations were already pretty low for the women, but I believe Madison Francis is going to be a star.

I didn't really have much expectations for this team to start with. I have less after Monday night. It's one game, but damn.

I’ve got major concerns. The only possible positive spin I can come up with is it’s one game and maybe Iowa State is really good and made us look worse than we are.

But yeah, early returns are not promising on this group. And we’ve got a tough nonconference schedule before we even see an SEC team.

ISU may win every home game this season. Or close to home game. They are probably a top 10 team, we shall see.

Yes on the home game part, but this game was on a semi-neutral court about 4 hours from Ames.
Yep. It was a home game for ISU the same way Nashville would be a home game for us if we played Miami. Closer? Sure. Home? Eh.

Iowa State also returned almost their entire roster from last year. That makes a big difference especially early in the season
OK maybe they brought back a lot of the same players but they lost their two top scorers and another one nearly in double digits.

Exaggerate much. A better example would be playing in Biloxi, where it would also considered an extremely heavy State attendance. No different than the game state just played. Choosing a city in another State is such the response you would expect from this board.

The goddamned game was in South Dakota, idiot.
Sioux Falls is in the southeast corner of the state next to the Iowa border. I’ve been there several times. It would be like Mississippi State playing a neutral site game in Memphis…or like Southaven where they played Utah last year.

I mean they literally talked about on the broadcast Iowa St playing neutral site games close to home so they still get a home crowd feel.

According to Google Maps he Sanford Pentagon in Sioux Falls is 3 hours and 59 minutes from Iowa State, and the Mississippi Coast Coliseum is 4 hours and 8 minutes from our campus.
