Two bear co-workers insist 6-6 with a win over the Dawgs in VH is bottom for next year. They point to Mullen and his 'near' six wins + a home win over them in his first year. I've got blinders but I just don't see it. What say ye?

With Vandy still on the rise, and UK falling of their schedule, I don't see a SEC game they'll be favored in. Their only shot at any success in the next few years hinges on the fact that the recent crop of fre$hman are drastically better than anyone else on their team, and the'll have to ride brassel like a mule.

FWIW, I'd put our O/U next year at 7. 4 OOC, ole miss, UK, and UT. aTm would be our next most winnable game, but unless that games at home I wouldn't bank on success just yet.

Wins:
Central Arkansas
UTEP
at Tulane

Losses:
Texas
Florida/Texas A&M
Vandy
at Bama
at Arkansas
Auburn
at Georgia/Texas A&M
at LSU
MSU

They'll probably find a way to win 1 of the 8 losses, but they could also find a way to lose 1 of the wins.</p>

filter in the pretty talented freshman class with the 30 seniors their 2 deep should be good, if they buy in to a solid plan

they got some holes to figure out
they got to get qb figured out
oline should be fine if they get in a good strength and conditioning

6 wins seem like a stretch

but I am hearing some bad grade issues coming out of oxford, where a lot quit going to class.

from looking at the makeup
Nutt sold himself and the Ole Miss future down the river last year, just to try to save his job for 2 more years
he blew it and lost the team
now you have a roster full of seniors and a ****** class recruited
it could get real ugly, if freeze don't have an unbelievable plan

In addition to Vandy, they play UGA and Florida from the East. Like I wrote before, if Vandy beats OM, the bears could very well have a 21-game SEC losing streak going into the 2012 Egg Bowl. And don't forget they play Texas OOC next year.<div>
</div><div>One prelim (rumored?) SEC schedule has OM playingbothTexas A&M and Missouri next year. One of those could very well replace Vandy, which would make their schedule even more difficult.</div><div>

I know the fans are excited (some of them, at least), but next year is not the endgame. Next year is Year 1. We'll be putting in new system with players players who weren't recruited to run that style of play (and in the case of the OL, probably aren't talented enough to play it). There's going to be a lot of adjustment made.

For next year, I think seeing a team that looks like they were actually coached during the week, doesn't make stupid mistakes, and plays hard the whole game would be a vast improvement over this past year. It would also help if Freeze didn't call sweep plays from our own endzone, a la the Arkansas game.

They will beat C. Arkansas, UTEP, and win at Tulane<div>They will get raped on the road at Bama, Arkie, Georgia and LSU and will lose to Texas at home</div><div>Therefore the fewest wins will be 3 and fewest losses will be 5...</div><div>
</div><div>"swing" games (potential wins) are all in Oxford in Florida, Vandy, Auburn and MSU</div><div>
</div><div>The odds they go 1-3 are greater than their odds of going 2-2, in my opinion.</div><div>
</div><div>4-8 is my best guess... although 3-9, 0-8 is quite possible...</div>

it has been decided to stay with 8 league games even with expansion so for now everyone will move to 6 divisional games and only 2 cross divisional games.

Ole Miss can't escape Vandy. The beatdowns will continue.

Bama keeps Tenn, Auburn keeps UGA, We keep Kentucky, etc... all the old rivalries are kept that way.

Arkansas and SC remain a permanent game with T A&M getting Missouri OR will Arkansas switch to Missouri and T A&M get SC. Seems Ark-Missouri would be a natural rivalry the SEC might want to have happen every year.
