ASSUMING noone transfers and everyone comes back full strength (Elgin Bailey, REALLY could have used him today), anything less than a 6 seed in the tourney would be a disappointment.

It's an easy buy for me. The starting lineup should be Bost, Stewart, Phil, Augustus, and SWAT with a bench that can cause matchup problems just like Washington's did. We could get rid of Tranny and just rotate Phil to the point on occasion. I wouldn't have a problem with that.

But I am afraid Kodi is gone though. Hopefully Rick can talk him into staying

but LSU finished 13-3 and won the SEC regular season championship. The AP had them at #21 in the nation and they were 26-7 overall headed into the NCAA Tournament. I'd have to take those numbers going into the Tourney next year. And they are a #8 seed.

I didn't realize this, but the AP had us at #31 going into the NCAAs and we were a 13 seed.

UT didn't get any AP votes (41 teams got votes) and they were a 9 seed, only 1 seed lower than #21 LSU. Baffling.

If we finished with LSU's numbers and were an 8 seed, "disappointment" wouldn't begin to describe how I felt.

I guess I'll buy, since the SEC should be better next year...

I think if everyone comes back, we'll be more versatile and of course more experienced. We played much of this year without Kodi, and Osby will probably get better. With those two, we have the size that we lacked this year and we could still go small at times. They also will help take pressure off of Varnado in case he gets into foul trouble. Plus, we'll have some seniors like Stewart and Varnado. Bost should be better to, and I thought he was very good this year from a point guard standpoint. We have the energy of Phil Turner coming back. And then Ravern can score, and maybe he can improve his defense some.
