From his dad- “Bryce remains committed to the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. As a family, we’ll take the next couple of days to carefully consider all options and make the best decision for Bryce and his future. Once that decision is made, we won’t look back."
LSU and Penn State are hot after him but he wants to see who UNC hires first before making a decision, which will most likely be next week.
Bryce at Penn State is a great fit with QB coach Danny O' Brien... I love this move...Smart. UNC is not the school right now, Why be part of a program in a "complete rebuild" this day and age? It's going to be years of rebuild at UNC.
Not with the transfer portal. Teams can become contenders/above average quickly and vice versa. Look at TCU a few years ago, Indiana this year, Colorado etc. No doubt PSU is a fit for him and an elite program, though. If he does go there, hope they can get some skill guys to help him.
I don’t think Penn State is a great fit. Baker has a ton of upside and Penn State doesn’t do a great job with Quarterbacks. Now they do well with quite a few defensive positions, linemen and at running back but I wouldn’t go to Penn State If I were a Quarterback.
The only real benefit of choosing UNC is proximity and potentially playing early because of the rebuild.
LSU is actually his best option out of the three. Pretty proven system that develops Quarterbacks. He will have skill guys around him and pretty good offensive line.
I don’t want to see Bryce not reach his full potential at Penn State. I hope he makes the best decision for him though.
Or Indiana. Transfer Portal changes everything. Both CU and IU are entirely products of the portal.
Duke with Manny Diaz had to pickup a lot of players in the portal to go 9-3 first year
Well because of those coaches Primes influence and connections. Cignetti was able to bring many of those "dudes" from JMU that transformed IU overnight. I should've been more detailed but that's what I meant. Every coach doesn't benefit from the portal the same that's why I made it exclusive to the coach first.
I'm going to correct myself, what UNC did by hiring Bellichek does change things...It was such an out of the box move... I think it could work out for Bill and UNC. They could turn this around quickly with the right personnel players & coaches with Bill's system. Bryce to Penn State or UNC is a great fit for him. Bryce might have to wait to play if either of these teams gets a top ranked QB transfer and that's very likely to happen.
