Well EG comes in at 0-2 and so does Burns.
I think Burns strength of schedule in those two would put Burns as a possible favorite but against Crest a few said we may only beat Highland, Bessemer and Cherryville. Then last week a new team showed up and about pulled off the upset against KM. In CC games you just never know but the next two weeks will show where we really are. I think a lot of people looked at that Crest game and formed an opinion. I wonder if we even stay in the 4A top 10 after going 0-2. We will see.

I see they lost to North Gaston and Forestview and have only scored 14 points in 2 games. Based on the improvement seen in the KM game, I think we should win this one.

I'll absolutely admit I was probably a bit hasty with my comments during the Crest game. If Burns can continue to run the ball the way we did against KM we'll be fine this week. Just need more consistent QB play to keep teams honest. And I really like that we aren't afraid to kick FGs this year.

EG is a mess right now. They have (4) freshman moved up from JV..... makes zero sense in a season like this. QB and MLB starting tonight are freshman. Very predictable on offense and the D simply blitzed the LB'ers all night.

I believe they only managed 42 total yards if offense.

He sure did. I was sitting beside his mom (or maybe grandmother?)& she was happy as could be. She's a sweet lady.

Burns will be fine. We have some good athletes and so many young players. Dang that 2nd string in the second half was super fast. Much better playing, including kicking the last 2 games!
