Yes they are 2A. Message sent to the rest of 2A for sure....
Granted East Rock is 2A and 4-0 having whipped everyone they have played this year.
Still, Riverheads beat East Rock last year by like three TDs.
Makes for an interesting season...
(the only time I have seen East Rock was when they lost a fairly close one to Essex in the 2012 playoffs the year Essex went 14-0 - then was crushed by Goochland in the state title game.)

East Rock is the classic case of a team that has been building toward this one season. Their three primary players on offense (quarterback, running back, and receiver) are all seniors and it is quite evident that they know each all too well.
Yeah they have some tough ones coming up in Sussex,parkview,greensville and brunswick..regardless of records now, those games are usually competitive..if they go 3-1 in those games,i can say watch out come playoff time
