I think this has the makings to be a very competitive game. They met in the playoffs last year in a tight game, that saw the Eagles end the RE Lee season. East Rock is a pretty dangerous team right now and their QB might be the best pure passing QB the Leemen have faced thus far. He can look off safeties about as good as any high school QB I have seen live. Great footwork and mechanics as well. The Leemen have been playing pretty good football lately, even though Strasburg gave them all they wanted in the first half last week. I know an East Rock victory might surprise some, but not I, as I have this as a true pick em game.

How are the defenses for these teams? They both seem to have given up quite a few points this season.

Keith, gotta say I disagree with ya. Lee will cruise as they are the most athletic secondary ER will have played. Would not be surprised to see a pick 6 or two. ER is not balanced at all so it's pin your ears back and meet at the QB. Anything can happen so I guess that's why they play the games. I have Lee winning big 49-14. Dream season for new coach at Lee continues. I like what he is doing with the talent there. Lots of respect for him and how he has changed the atmosphere there.

HS-Sportsfan, Lee is decent at times but are suseptable to the power run game. I think ER is a little smaller but also unable to contain power run teams. Overall I give the edge to Lee because they are most definitely more athletic.

Good luck to both teams as I have no dog in the fight.

I hope your prediction is right. I watched the ER/BG game film today and was very impressed with that QB and one of the wide receivers who seemed to be open every single play. The Lee defense has given up a lot of points (and yards for that matter) but they have come up with some big plays and capitalized on some key turnovers throughout the year, Harrisonburg in particular. If Lee can continue to capitalize on turnovers this week (like the pick 6 you mentioned), I think they will come away with the W. I have been known to jinx them before so I am trying not to do it again!lol

I too have no dog in this fight but will be listening carefully for scores from it. It should be a classic game especially considering that both teams are greatly improved over where they were early in the season. I personally expect a high-scoring battle and I will go with the Leemen also, but not by anywhere near the margin Red Pride is predicting. I would say something more like 51-35.

East Rock's passing game against Gap was as crisp and efficient as I've seen in a long time. The QB gets the ball out quickly and on target. It's heavily predicated on timing though. I don't think Lee's blitzing will result in many sacks, but they could disrupt the timing. Maybe that gets them a pick or two, but stopping drives is good too. Don't be fooled though, East Rock can run too. I think it will be close, but I think East Rock will get just enough big plays to win again.
