That’s my pleasure, homie. Man, do you know what my life would be like on here, if I didn’t have y’all to rib and throw shots at, periodically. Be honored, though. You don’t see ole Lion Attack throwing shots at some Johnny Come Lately program. But, I do envy your luckiness some, though. You get past one slightly below average 3A/4A team, your biggest concern on the schedule, then you’re assured home playoff games throughout, even in the couple of years you weren’t among the best 2A teams. And, all of these streaks? Any blue blood 2A program would do that in your position.
Ramit02, I’m getting annoyed now just thinking about you, personally, just chilling with no worries at all, on cruise control, on your way to your 3rd consecutive state championship game. Just look at you, man. Smh. I’m picturing what you look like. I bet you you wear an old, faded hat with a fishing hook on it with a camouflaged coat to the game. You will be challenged by The Cavs and The Heritage, though.

And, speaking of 98 Champion, he minded his own business last season, the man got married, and seemingly turned over a new leaf, the most low key I ever saw him. Yeah, it was three guys behind that profile, but there was one main trigger man. You Reidsville guys, led by The Mule, provoked him, and pulled him back in, then snitched on him in the end, and got him banned. The man was such a die hard Shelby fan that his first Halloween costume was a Lion suit, with only a little of his faced exposed, rosy red cheeks like Santa Claus. True story!!!! I tip my 40 to his memory on here. #Legend

There's actually 2 hooks though, never know when you need an extra, but you were close!!! Real close !!! Matter o fact, I took a bunch of crappie filets down to NCSU for a championship game and fried them babies up with some homemade hush puppies and homemade tarter sauce and we ate til we were bloated ( which aint hard to do) before the game. Tried to sneak a couple fish sandwiches in the stadium for later and got busted..that was 2003 against Bandys. Reidsville won 68-12.. broke the record for most points scored by a team in a championship game..I ain't making none of this up, I swear it's the truth !! You alright by me LA..Boats ready, say the word. I don't hunt much, but I fish all winter... Matter a fact, November/ December is my favorite time. Been tough this year though, dirty high water in most of my best spots!
Lion I'm not sure what the state wants to see more another Shelby Reidsville game or a Hwy 29 showdown between Reidsville and Dudley. With the close proximity, I think a home and home Dudley match up would bring record gates.

ER has a good team. I'd call them "pretty good". Maybe "really good". "Elite" does not come to mind for me. When I here that word, I think of the Mallard Creeks, Wake Forests, and Richmond Seniors of the world.
Didnt Reidsville have the longest win streak in the nation at one point during our 3peat about 10 years ago? Add that to the accolades.
I believe we did capture the longest streak in the nation around week 50. It ended in 2010 at 54 games with a Cummings loss. Cummings actually bookended that streak. Lost in playoffs to Cummings in 2006.
It was a 55 game winning streak......the streak began in 2007 (after losing to Cummings in 2A west regional final in 2006)......and ended in the eighth game of 2010 season with a loss to Cummings.................
Reidsville opponents are the same as they were the last 2 years they went to states. Next
I believe one big difference in this game will be the coaching. Huge advantage for Reidsville. Everyone talks about their players, myself included, but where I see a big mismatch is the coaching and play calling. ER has the athletes to match anybody. #3 for ER is probably gonna be the fastest player on the field. Nbwalker hit the nail on the head when he said #8 is underused. He definitely needs the ball in his hands more. Play calling will be predictable for ER and Reidsville D will key in on that.
East Rutherford had better bring its A+ game or they will spend a lot of time receiving Rams kick offs.
If the east coaching staff would open up the play book use Wadell , Harris and Jones to take the focus off of Mauney it could be a big night for Cavs. All four of them and Simmons can burn you fast. They were doing that when they were scoring 60 points a game.

From your comments I assumed you had never seen the Rams play.
Reidsville runs a very, very complicated offense and they can score running or passing from anywhere on the field. If E. Rutherford doesn't have a very good defense, it will be a long night for them.
Edit to ask: How much does that nose tackle for East Rutherford weight?
Looks like about 400 lbs.

I will say this mule in all likelihood Reidsville may and probably will win this game but you
yeah you should go left or rightLooks like that eliminates the run up the middle.
He's had a troublesome knee and they really need him to anchor the offensive line. That's my guess.
ER has more athletes than anyone theyll face in the playoffs. the inability to use those athletes will lead to a blowout loss just like every other year. same song different verse. like i said before, they have 6 or 7 plays and you know what the hell is coming based on formation what down it is and how far they have to go on that down. it's as predictable as it was when jerry cash ran it if not worse. ER will score some. sure. but after 2 or 3 of them itll be shut down. the coaching staff thinks that mauney is the only player they have and it shows. as much as it pains me to say it reidsville rolls in this one. and because he beat up on nobody teams all year and got a fancy record the coach will get an extension. basketball starts saturday for all rutherford county teams.

Hey Football Capital, wasn't it you that said the moorehead panthers were a 3rd round playoff team in 3a after reidsville beat them. They got blown out in RD 1 by 35. Besides against the rams they were blown out vs every good opponent. Think WA beat them 55-7
Yeah I thought the way they played us they would do better than they did but compared to the last couple of years they made great improvement.
People forget that Reidsville started six sophomores against Morehead, including a QB playing in one of his first varsity games. He and the other sophs are light years improved since that game.
I agree with you both about rams improvement, and Moorehead as a whole. Just never thought they would win a playoff game this year in 3A just because the other teams like a WA team. But I'm happy the sophomores are playing well and getting the experience. Need all of them Friday night
There are 16 sophomores on the Rams' playoff roster. Included in that group are 7 JV call-ups.
