Wow.

If I remember correctly, it started at $1500 when they opened about 15 years ago. A 30% increase exceeds inflation ....

Am I missing something, or do you know how interest works?

$1500 times 1.03^15 = $2336
3% inflation

If we are being technical, I doubt we have averaged 3% over the last 15 years. Even at 2% it should be just over $2k. So inflation adjusted, price is fair. Now if we try the same experiment with tuition...

For those interested in more math examples, I'm pretty sure the pricing started at $1000.

Is it 1950 aseat plus how much to get the ability to buy it? Last time I priced you had to pay so much per seat thefirst year plus the per seat charge?

I want to say it was $1000/seat in 2001. Then it was $1250 then $1500.

When there was limited premium seating before the latest expansion - I think you had to commit to a 25k donation over 5 years and you could buy up to 10 tickets.

So let's say you wanted 10 club level...

25k over 5 years
Plus the $1250/ticket PSL = $12500 x 5 years
Plus the cost of each season ticket (~ $300). $3000 x 5 years

If you did that - you were committing to $102K over 5 years.

Even if you wanted 4 - that's $56K over 5 years.

We might have found the problem with declining attendance.

Ive been super dedicated to getting the best seats I could over the last 6 years, but that **** is just way beyond your average fan.

There are few bad seats in the whole stadium, so yeah, no need to bankrupt yourself to get the best seats.
My ticket plan for years has been to wait till the mini-season tickets package goes on sale usually in June or July. 3-4 games for $25 or so per game. Not prime seats by any means, but they're usually pretty good.

Yep, although the East side club level seats are sold out, including many that are simply bar chairs at a glass counter at the club windows (no seat outside).

I bought club level seats starting in 2001 and gave them up after the 2015 season. I realized I was spending nearly all of the games inside the club lounge with my wife watching them on TV, then running to the windows when State did something good. Last season for 3 games (BYU, UK, OM) I bought ~40 to 45-yard line West side tickets from StubHub or VividSeats and saved thousands of dollars. Other than some sunburn during the 11am BYU game, I didn't miss the club level.

The 2018 Florida game tickets will be expensive, but I'll still be ahead.

Last year was my first year getting season tickets. I got them in the upper deck east side...section 334. I was on around the 20 yardline. Tickets are $240 each or $34/home game. Those tickets also give me access to a climate controlled concourse where the wife and kids can go if it is a 100 degree game in September or a 25 degree game in November.

That sounds right.

Definitely was $1000 at the start, and for a long time after. I actually told the BC they should increase the price about 5 years in, as I thought it was a steal. Once they added the window chairs and it got crowded, the value started dropping precipitously. I don't miss it.

Are you sure they're sold out?

I'm pretty sure at one point after reseating it wasn't. The end zone club stole some of the cost-conscious folks, and the loges grabbed folks who wanted elbow room and could afford it.

It is 99% sold out. I changed to CL 3 years ago and could only get 2 that were close to each other that first year. I was able to get 4 (2 and 2) on the same row last year.

I'm just hoping to move my two to the west side upper deck chairbacks. Buddy has two there that I love. Don't know why I was ever partial to lower deck tickets after a game or two up there. He's in row 2 on the front rail which is right in front of the main isle to the concourse. Basically step down directly into the chair and back up directly into the aisle. Never shuffle anybody or get shuffled by anybody during the game. I'll be excited if it works out.
