Hey guys....help a brotha out with a little info....
I'm bringing a party of four down for the game this weekend, and have resigned myself to the fact that in all likelihood we will be sitting in the upper deck on the east side, which I don't think I've ever actually done. What kind of view do you get from up there? I've been up top in Neyland and the Swamp, so I've got some reference. What about access to the facilities over there? Obviously I won't be allowed in the suites/skyboxes, but is there an area where the wives can go inside and watch if the weather disagrees? Do I have to go all the way to the floor? Stand on the ramps? Pardon my ignorance, but I honestly don't think that in all these years I've ever been up there. Thanks in advance.

East side upper level has enclosed area (sky deck) that has restrooms, concession stands, etc. where you can get out of weather. You cannot see game from inside.

I just realized the other day that in 25+ years of going to MSU games I have never sat in the upper deck. If I have even ever been up there, I don't remember.

Me either, 25. I have the West side, but not in years. Yellowfin, are there TV's around, like a stand-around-dry-and-watch-while-our-stupid-husbands-get-soaked kind of area?

Like others said upper deck is not bad if rain comes in you won't see game but will stay dry. Neylands and the Swamp is crap! You will be elbow to elbow....

Sky Deck East side upper is a bargain. I got put up there a few years back when USPS lost my ticket order and have kept 2 of them for customers, friends, etc. Season tickets are only $175 each. Concourse under stands is enclosed w/ air conditioning, has tv's to watch while you are standing around or ordering Yankee hot dogs and stinky drinks. Plenty of modern rest rooms (no troughs), some tables and chairs to sit around. Negatives: There's no view of the game other than tv's, only 2 elevators on that side and 1 of them goes to top, others go to boxes only. There's the ramps if you don't mind the walk though. I like the view (mine are on the 40), you can see the plays unfold perfectly, especially the passing game. Nobody throws drinks on you either which as the Kang says "is a big big plus.

When I was a young boy, I would beg my folks to let me walk to the top of the west wide upper deck. I mean you could see all the way to Mathiston from up there. I think these days I would stand at the fence and watch the game on the Jumbotron before I carted my out of shape *** up there.

I spent a good portion of many games in the Sherrill era watching the game from the top of the west side upper deck.

I sit east side upper deck every game. The view is fine from where I sit, but some people have mentioned that you can be "too close" the video board to get a good view of it.

The concourse is indoors and climate controlled but there will be no way to watch the game from in there. Cash and credit cards are also accepted, but the credit card line usually moves a good bit slower.

Also, leave yourself ample time to walk the ramps to the upper deck and find your seat. It can take a while if there are a lot of people headed up.

Edit: Peeper is right, there are a couple of TVs where you can watch the game but no way to see the field from inside.
