Me and my dad went to Cardinal games since when men smoked cigars in the stands, bought their beer and drank their whiskey from flasks.

Somehow talked my Dad into taking me to professional wrestling matches at the Kiel Auditorium in the 80s when ...

And some ESL fans rumpled your panties?
Ruffled my panties... no

PRokie,

Come on man, your kids heard worse than that on South Park tonight. If you really think your kids haven't heard this you're delirious.

My kids don't watch SouthPark.

Reminded me of the Patriot mom with the megaphone

And I suppose they've never heard a string of curse words in a movie or the school hallway?! You're reaching to justify an ignorant comment about the ESL fan base. Time to move on.

As someone who interacts with high school kids every day that I work, not all kids watch South Park.

No jwar... you are trying to justify their use of whatever language that is!

You should join the election protests with the nobody is responsible movement.

Why weren't you suggesting the same to MWitt over his concerns with our kids chants?

I am about as far away from the election protest as you can get. What I'm saying is the vast majority of what those kids heard they hear on a daily basis. Does it make it right, not really, but the fact is the get it daily on tv and at school, unless the kids watch no tv they are exposed, unless they are home schooled they are exposed, so get your panties out of a knot on this one. Most of your fan base, your teams at the high school, and yes, your precious Falcons level, use the same language on the field, on the sidelines, and even in the stands!

Kids on the field, Falcons, etc.. yup

People in the stands at a MS game. Nope

You might hear curse words hear and there, but make no mistake... this wasn't the normal stuff you hear in public. This was like a scary you tube video.

I'm extremely thick skinned when it comes to myself... not so much around ladies and kids

Most of these people were women!! There is NO EXCUSE that this is acceptable on any level!!!

You have to remember the lady with the old style giant megaphone at Patriots games, and you cannot tell me you were never embarrased.

I'm not defending anything. I do hear curse words all the time. I'm just telling you that you're generalizing as fact again for no reason other than to prove your point.

PR,

It's not for lack of trying on my part but I really don't remember a woman at the games outside of 1 year with a megaphone and that was perhaps a year ago. I was not embarrassed because I can't even remember it. As it works out I will be in Florida next week for work and will see a bunch of the old crew and ask them to help me remember who this person is.

Power,

I'm generalizing? I'm saying the statement about the ESL crowd was ignorant and I'm the one generalizing pfft! Facts are facts and PRokie admitted this stuff goes on in the MS crew. Pardon me but I'm not generalizing. Unfortunately this use of language has been accepted as the new "norm". Do I like it no but it's been main streamed that George Carlins "7 words you can't say on TV" aka "The List" just doesn't hold water anymore!

Once again, carry on with your yelling at okie. I agree with all of you yelling at him. Never call a kid out like that. I'm merely saying move on from your other point about kids and TV, because you are wrong. For someone who called out a public school for test scores in another thread, your reading comprehension level seems rather low regarding this.

Jwar, there is a big difference between a student section with random curse words vs. what I witnessed Saturday night. Had the exact same thing happened to many on this board in a MS crowd, this forum would blow up.

As I now understand the socioeconomic excise along with the left condoning it, clearly I am misplaced thinking that this sort of thing is wrong. While I would have guessed that because I was the one bringing it up that it would be met with resistance, I still believe the majority of the people here would not have hung around this sort of thing consistently nor subjected your kids to it.

Regardless of who is using improper language in the presence of a woman they are wrong. I was brought up to treat women with respect whether I knew them or not. It doesn't matter to me if this kind of vulgar language is being used at a football game or in a restaurant it is inappropriate and shows a lack of manners and upbringing.

PRokie, you have a legitimate complaint, however it is not PC. That's about as far as I'll comment on this.
