Throw out all records and stats it’s The Elks and Cards there have been upsets and if im not mistaken… i don’t remember any one year EW upset Elkin! EW beat Elkin all the years they were supposed to. I do remember a few Elk surprises over the Cardinals throughout the years and a few nasty big come from behind losses dealt to the Cards by the Elks amongst the few years and the just downright nasty dominant Elkin teams in the early through mid 2000’s… i say that to say this… on paper EW should trounce Elkin as easy or easier than most everyone else on their schedule has this year! I have also said it before and been fooled!
For some unforseen reason this match up always is one you just never know. On paper EW should win by ALOT. But theres just something about East Wilkes vs Elkin. Havent heard much out of the "Battle of the bypass" this year....is this even a thing anymore?
