EA big…
Wait that was last week…
Who said that?
Coming off beating orange/blue team Comets should be pumped.
Hopefully ER controls line of scrimmage and avoids turnovers and the county team comes away victorious against the city boys.

er big this week
tarheel, you seem like a reasonable great guy in your posts. Just busting your chops a little. Truth be told I gavel EA a slight edge last week before game when asked to my face. Didn’t know QB was out though.
Didn’t say “big” though 😂

With Ross leaving that gave me less confidence in er. Eastern almanacs must have had a rough scrimmage to be that banged up. Very impressive by er nonetheless. Think you guys take care of the orange and blue team

Asheboro is huge up front defensively and the QB can run and throw it with some tall wr’s out wide. Should be a great game and huge crowd. Rivalry games like this are what high school football is all about

That's what happens when you finally get rid of subdivision lol... No more watered down playoffs. Just one champ per class and much less chance for dynasties.
So according to your logic it’s ok to stop the championship tournament at the quarter finals. Why do you not insist they play it all the way down to only 1 state champion

Eh? Not what I said at all. Actually I think there should be five classes.

Yes that’s exactly what you’re saying
Why water down the championship with numbers, crown only one champ. Let the big dog eat

Yeah I know what you’re saying I was just carrying your logic to the next step to see if you really wanted to go there

I think so too
It could be 1a 500
2a 500-750.
1A and 4A are where they biggest disparities are. That would be solved. If it weren’t for the charters. There’s when things get tricky. I’m for a separate division for charters. But I really don’t know the answer

It's hard for NC to align it like that and classifications be evenly divided. It works in TN because they have alot more sub 500 schools. Then, take out all the charters and we are left with what? 40 schools under 500? 5a would be the best solution now, especially since the NCHSAA threw the "eliminate split conferences" completely out the window this go around. But sadly, most schools voted against it...

Thomasville will be that way all year….varsity and jv. Sounds like for all sports.
During Spring season of all sports, I spoke with numerous AD’s and there was a lot that said they would never go back to ticket sales with cash at the gate. Several schools had a sign at the gate with the QR code and that’s how they handled walk up sales.

They’re doing all mobile in Tarboro - for me it makes it more convenient - but everytime I walk in there’s always a group of older people standing outside trying to figure out how to get it on their phone

Tennessee only has 49 schools in 1A (at least for football). I think we tend to think that the classification sizes we have in NC are normal, but when you look more at things, it's actually absurd how many more schools we have in each class than the states around us.

I actually like the subdividing. Wish they’d go back and then reduce it to a 10 game season and four playoff games

Loflin blocks left and Lilly runs right.
Barwick throws long to Alston all night.
Asheboro plays hard and puts up a fight.
But when all is said and done the Wildcats just have too much might. Finally football in Randolph County is back to being a delight.

Barwick 7-7 259 yards 4tds. Not too bad of a night right there.
Game was over last night when Asheboro jayvee team and coaches went and posed for team photos under the scoreboard after the win and yucked it up celebrating. ER is like Murphy, Tarboro, Mitchell, Robbinsville, Mountain Heritage - good hard working fans and players and coaches. Will do anything for you. But don’t try and stomp on their pride. Cause of you poke a Bear you might now like what you get in return.
