About 10 degrees cooler.

Anyone see coverage of Charleston, SC?
There was a storm coming in from the ocean with lightning on horizon, that had to be cool.

Coolest thing that I didn't know would happen was the crescent-shaped shadows coming through the trees.

- Was driving from Central City back to Newburgh from about 12:45 to 1:30. It was odd driving out of the totality as the sky behind me was much darker than the sky ahead. I didn't think there'd be that much of a difference.

- Felt like I was wearing shades that were a dark blue/grey tinted. The light coming into my driver's window from behind me seemed to be from the wrong angle and it was the wrong color. It was strange.

- The parking lot of the VF Factory Outlet mall in Hanson looked like the lot at a Dead concert.

- Folks pulled over in the emergency lane on 69 allover the place. Groups of folks just hanging out next to cars doing 75mph.

- At the Morganfield exit, counted 9 State Police vehicles staging on the overpass. All brand-new with the new golden paint scheme. Everybody making money off the Great Eclipse.

It was pretty awesome to see! I live in Bowling Green and it felt like the temperature dropped at least 15 degrees, maybe more, and that was well before totality. It didn't get pitch dark out where I live, more like dusk. It was definitely eerie but very cool at the same time.

Made a better version and slowed it down...

I have to say that was the most spectacular natural phenomenon I've ever witnessed.

Being in St. Louis we had 100% totality. I thought the hype was annoying and getting silly but it was really cool. So much different/better than I thought it would be.

I watched it in Charleston... so much cloud coverage I thought I wouldn't get to see it well enough but did thankfully... the clouds actually made for a very spectacular "sunrise".

It was incredible.

Kind of a let down for me...I think I hyped it up too much in my head. I was approx 85 miles (slightly NW of Hopkinsville), thought it'd get a little darker than it did.

Still cool tho....got another one in 7 years.

edit: April 8th is a Monday....Cal & the Cats could be playing for #11 that night!! You saw it here first...WRITE IT DOWN!

I knew I wouldn't be at an area of totality, so I DVR it. Didn't even look up in NKY, also didn't buy anything related to this.

I'm sure when I get home weather channel will have all of hopkinsville.

Got a few breaks in the cloud cover in East Cooper. It was pretty cool to watch

And just because it needs to be said, Rick Pitino could've got laid 10 times during the darkness.

Here's a quick, emphasis on quick, time-lapse from my front porch. Keep hitting the pause button to see it darken more gradually....

Wow that's pretty cool.

I was outside Cerulean on a farm.

How awesome when the jet went through it?

Great day.

Totality is amazing. 99 percent is nowhere as good.

I'm only a few miles across the field from where you were. Yeah, the jet was pretty awesome.

I saw a jet too, had to be the same one. How cool would it have been to see an eclipse from 30,000 feet?

The local news made a HUGE deal of it here in the Naples Florida area. And nothing happened, just like any other SWFL afternoon....lol

Kinda lackluster at my location. We had 92% coverage, but it was very cloudy, so not much difference. I was able to get some glasses and look at the sun.

The weather channel reporters are all having orgasms over it.
