Just can not get out of his own way. Yesterday Chris Landry said that team had some serious issues that the staff could not solve. Reason being nobody on the staff knew how to solve any problems. Said that staff was so unorganized that it would be an embarrassment at the high school level much less college. Then last night on the coaches show a caller commented about O not getting caught on film having sex with a blonde girl snd they cut the caller off then O suggested that was the kinda guy that he has a special fishing hole in the bayou for. Im thinking they cut him loose at the bye week

I believe it. There is no way in the world he is coaching there next year. They are the third from worst rushing team also. I think only us snd Bowling Green have less yards. Thats crazy

I still can’t believe that he won a Natty. He might be the least deserving Natty coach ever. He was horrendous at OM and everyone around that program at the time said he was insane.

The man held 11 on 11 full contact practice during a rain delay! He ripped his shirt off in front of a group of people! Good recruiter tho.

After the loss to Aubbie, I think they've mailed it in. A loss to Kentucky (not unlikely to happen) sends him packing. In the unlikely event somehow another Bluegrass miracle occurs, Florida and/or Ole Miss will beat him and send him on his way.
He's finding out that LSU isn't LSU without a running game and more than one premier athlete (Boutte) to cover.

He was something like 5-19 in two seasons at Iowa State before somehow getting the Auburn gig. I know he (i.e. Cam) won them a natty but it's still one of the biggest head scratching hires in the history of the SEC.

I think he was a pretty good defensive coordinator. But, at the time he was hired by Auburn, there was no indication he'd be a good head coach. And beyond Cam, you can easily argue that any success he had at Auburn was because of having Gus Malzahn as his OC.

Also, Orgeron is on his "second" chance after getting afull run at Ole Miss and then an interim gig at USC. Chizik has basically only had one run, as he got hired away from Iowa St before he really had a chance to learn from his mistakes. It's at least possible Chizik could be better if he were given another chance.

He had the blueprint for a long tenured successful head coach, in the mold of Dabo, but I guess he just can't seem to let that happen. Trying to control the offense and then all these repeated screw-ups that is just indicative of him believing he's invincible. I don't think he believes he'll be fired. Total delusion.

All the guy had to do is keep recruiting, hire competent coordinators (which isn't difficult at LSU) and don't do anything stupid off the field. He failed at 2/3s of that.

Chizik did the same thing as far as trying to control the offense, when he needed to just stay back. He didn't have the off field problems, but his coaching was just horrific. Exhibit A is how Malzahn took the same bunch, a year older, and went to the championship game with them, after they went 3-9.

How is that not likely to happen? Kentucky is better than LSU and they currently have a lot more to play do than LSU does.

The blue grass miracle was when LSU caught a last second hail mary (that was tipped in the air I think?) to come from behind and win on the last play of the game. I think Kentucky fans were already rushing the field.

I think Kentucky is pretty overrated right now. They could very easily be 3-2 right now and barely squeaked by some pretty bad Missouri, UT-Chattanooga and South Carolina teams. I think LSU should win this game.

He was well regarded as a defensive coordinator but ATROCIOUS as a head coach. That was their Rick Ray hiring. But Rick Ray never won us a national championship.

I know they don't have any offense to speak of but that D is pretty stout. I will be pulling for Kentucky but I honestly don't know if they can even score. Interesting game just because of Coach O's imminent demise. Its like looking at a car wreck. Just waiting for it to catch on fire

We can argue about who should win this game, but history says this is the kind of game LSU wins. And if nothing else, LSU fans are huge history buffs.
