Safety is one of those topics that some people use as a shield to say any dumbass thing they want. Because if you disagree with them all they have to do is act offended and accuse you of not taking safety seriously. Ed is clearly one of those people.

Yes Rhabdo happened in 2011 I think? Beathard should have been yanked because he was ineffective and Iowa was down. I was hoping to get Stanley in for some snaps more than anything. Beathard's dad has come out and said he supports Kirk's decision to let CJ decide whether or not to stay in. The medical staff had cleared him to play so Kirk let CJ decide.
What's odd about Ed's comment was that he was talking about head injuries and then brought up this example which had absolutely nothing to do with a head injury.
