Looks like Eddie Gran is on Florida Atlantic's radar as possible HC. I hope and doubt it happens. I think he is an awesome OC. The reality is, I believe anyway, we will see his name pop up more often for other coaching opportunities. Would love to see him stay for the long term.

I think if you're gran you figure you can get a similar offer next year. We return most of our offense. Now if it's an AAC or upper end CUSA offer he should listen.

Not sure he is on their radar. Bruce Feldman thinks he could be a potential candidate.

Gran is a career assistant. He had plenty of opportunities for HC spots at the other places hes been and he didn't. He won't start looking for one now. Gran is here to stay.

Imo, he won't go anywhere because I don't think he wants to be a HC. His offense is stacked for 2017 and UK will pay to keep him. No way Stoops allows him to get away for another OC job.

I think this is true. However, Gran's in his early 50s. If he were to take a HC job it'd need to be soon. I'm actually more concerned about losing Hinshaw. He's about due for an OC spot.

This is the best argument for Gran staying put. A head coach position is hard to turn down, but he should be able to similar or even better offers next year with a full season and 2 offseasons to work with this roster.

Gran is connected and known by Florida high schools from his time at Miami, I can see why his name would come up. I hope he stays because he has been killing it at Kentucky.

He's about 30 years too young to be FAU's head coach. Needs more seasoning.

I think gran stays put. Some coaches are career coordinators and love it. He's an offensive coordinator in the SEC and I only see him leaving if a bigger school offers him the same position

He will be here for several years. He loves being an OC and has a close relationship with Coach Hinshaw. Coach Gran is a very loyal person. You only have to look at his years with Tommy Tuberville. In fact, Mark wanted him from the start, but Coach Gran felt an obligation to Coach Tuberville. That is why Shannon Dawson came to us. Coach Gran came when he felt his obligation was at a point he could leave on good terms.

He'll get a nice salary bump this year. Also, I think he realizes the opportunity coming with the squad returning next year, another bowl season with some top RBs (maybe one or both of them gets some post season award love), a highly productive offense, etc...he'll be pinging on some other radars at the end of next year...

My research puts outgoing coach Charlie Partridges base salary at $500,000.00. Believe we have Gran at $650,000.00 serving as HC of Offense. Even in pure $ and cents terms, this sounds most unlikely. More than that, SEC coordinator >>> FAU head coach for several intangible reasons. FAU? Who cares, honestly?

While it is too early to consider any of these guys serious players for the job, it’s worth noting that Florida Atlantic may be coming after several of the league’s top assistant coaches....

If Gran wants to be a head coach it would be in his best interests to wait a year. Next years offense should be even better and as a result his job offers. Same goes for Hinshaw. If Gran leaves Hinshaw is positioned to take over as OC here.

If Stoops were to leave after next season Gran could be the man here.

After my WILDCATS I'm a Jawja fan. I loved the match up coach Gran versus 3rd and Grantham!
We win our bowl game I'd think coach Eddie will our o.c. for a good time to come, after a raise of course
