Well, attendance is a measure of interest in a program...so if U R going to boast about 52k for a game please tell me how many actually made it to the stadium. When these numbers start to equalize, then i think we know we are being successful or not!

Lol man. This is ********. So you sell StubHub 15k Tix for a dollar so you can call it sold out?
Hey, I had a party at my house and had 30 thousand people here. Thats how many saud yes that I invited.

Like I said . It's a joke and I find it embarrassing. But bottom line I was there as always..

I never understood this gripe of all the things to complain about.

Who cares what they announce?
What “credibility” had the AD lost?

All that matters is tickets sold and money generated.
Agreed, just don't get wasting energy on it. Obviously, the stadium was maybe half full at its peak but we made the money on the tix sold. Sure I wish everyone showed up and stayed, but not much we can do about that when we've been so bad for so long and the weather wasn't the best.

I find it odd that after what is probably the program’s most impactful win since joining the conference, this is the discussion OP wants to have.

Sure, I wish we were a program like UM, OSU, PSU who will be in their seats all game in any kind of weather, but we all knew this was coming today. And the first 3 quarters were — shall we say — uninspiring.

But for this day at least, why not just simply talk about the good things that happened that put RU at 5-2 on the season?

For me it is simple. When I look at a box score I like to see credible statistics. Math is real. Stats don't lie. I like to believe in math and numbers.

Maybe 27k at peak midway thru 2nd quarter
BAC it's not about how many were there. It was actually a really good showing ( ex students) on a a crappy day.
I just laugh at the dishonest figures. But it's ok because technically it's a fact and everyone do oes it. So that makes it ok.
Even numbers who goes off for 5000 word weather updates on every minute technical data point thinks it's ok to be " in the ballpark"

I think we should add 60k seats to SHI stadium and then we can set the NCAA attendance record with 112,658 tickets sold attendance.

Nah. That may have been ticket sales. But gate entries (actual attendance) was half that at best. That said, what a testament to the program, especially impactful to all the recruits who witnessed the character of the players and staff. Keep chopping. Never give up. Although many fans hit the exit at the half, as we did.

It's like the jo's that pile in a weather thread and scream bust or quibble over details of the forecast. Some people like to vent on inconsequential stuff. Think about this--Rutgers won in a stunning comeback today when many/most fans left their team for dead. Instead of celebrating, rejoicing, reveling in the win, this is what we get.
