Mike Leach, Chris Hatcher, and Sonny Dykes and then Franklin got a royal screw job at Auburn. Hell, the guy was an unknown from Valdosta State and he only had the UK job for four years. Croom's got Ellis Johnson making a lateral move to USC and then what?

I think of coaches who have developed a coaching philosophy similar to that of a head coach they have worked under. For example, Mullen is clearly part of the Urban Meyer tree. We will see how that pans out.
Johnson and Brick coached defense (Croom was an offensive guru, remember?) so I would not count them. Im sure they taught Croom a few things, so maybe we can say Croom was part of the Ellis Johnson tree.
Drayton was only here a year, so I doubt he was influenced very much (lucky him). Beamer was born into a coaching tree. The coach who was influenced the most by Croom was McCorvery, and all he could manage to land was an administrative spot at Clemson.
