Seems like you are just bitter that you lost to a vastly undermanned and undersized Auburn squad, with our 2 paid for players sitting on the bench. Figured UK basketball fans had more class and would give credit when due.

Bitter? Oh no. We get MUCH better trolls here than you. I’m just putting out the trash.

In terms of credit, any credit your team was due was lost over lame zit faced trolls and a cheating punkin head coach. Enjoy your “good year 2018” banner. That’s about all the credit you’ll have left I’m afraid.

The fact that you keep going back to the "zit faced trolls" well and misspelling the word pumpkin tells me all i need to know. Guess you can't afford the premium board eh?

Yep, we paid big bucks to snatch Bryce Brown from that powerhouse known as UNC Charlotte and to get Desean Murray to leave the fertile basketball plains of Murray State. And we really had to open up the checkbook for a 5'10 160" PG. I think you are just butthurt that your team signed 5-6 1st round NBA picks in the last class yet is being outclassed by teams with significantly less talent. Might be a coaching problem.

Your 2nd leading scorer was a five star, ranked 19th, with offers from Kansas, Miami, UCLA. Your 3rd leading scorer was a four star, ranked 56th in the country and the 5th leading scorer was a four star ranked 42nd in the country. The 9th leading scorer was also a highly ranked 4 star. The two guys you mentioned are 3star upperclassmen now.

It’s not like you’re marching out teen wolf’s team without teen wolf and beating the brakes off the evil UK team. Pearl is a good coach, a cheater, but a good coach. Congrats on beating the youngest men’s basketball team ever, on your home court.

Auburn fans. Lmao

Just using words you’d understand and spelling I thought would make you feel at home. It was clear to me you in particular were ‘special’.

Yes, I’m pretty sure that’s true but none of my degrees are in geography. I am rather well versed in statistical analysis. Would you like to compare basketball programs, this being a basketball forum and all?

You’d be well advised to avoid stereotypes in regards to Kentucky. One reason being, I’m very familiar with the plains. Elevation isn’t the only thing higher in Kentucky than that particular area of Alabama.

Ha, I think I'm picking Kybassfan in any intellectual contest with you Eadu24.

Btw Eadu24, we have listened to the callers on Paul Finebaum. And you are knocking people from Kentucky? Wow!

Always remember this, we haven't forgotten more about basketball than Auburn fans will ever know!

Can you give us specifics of what Calipari did in all those situations?

Can you do it in just one of them?

Before you do, you're going to look like a moron when you're done. But don't worry you're already there.

Just how the nation views your “blameless” coach. The comments on Pearl regarding Illinois and Tennessee are funny when put in perspective. Stones and glass houses and such...

We are still waiting for you to explain all the hashtags. We can't wait for you to look like a fool on a KY basketball forum. Can't wait to hear how Cal was blamed for these situations. He must have point blank lied to the NCAA when the NCAA asked a question that they knew the answer to and had pictures to prove it.....right?

#bamadebayo

So you are saying in ALL of these situations that Calipari was not culpable and that it is all coincidence. YHGTBKM. I understand blind homerism and all to your team but this is how the rest of the nation views him. Good thing he got out of all of those places right before the crap hit the fan regarding his teams at each school.

Auburn does not fire coaches for cheating. They do fire coaches for losing. Pearl is not going to lose so he will be around when the sun goes down and rises in the morning. It is Auburn people.

If a player takes money from an agent that is the coaches fault?

the most classless fan base and unwarranted sense of accomplishment in the ncaa. Without paying cam newton and taking mr show cause they'd have absolutely nothing of significance in the last 30 years.

Slow day over at the Tiger basketball forum? Seems all of your 22 bball fans spend more time here than there.

Hell, even UK football fans don't troll Auburn forums looking for validation.

It helps the trolling efforts to actually be good at football first.

1) it’s not “all.” It’s “both.” Let’s discuss both

A) camby took money from an agent. It happened and the NCAA came down hard. Agents represent themselves, not colleges during the recruitment phase.

B) rose was investigated four times with nothing found. When the NCAA came calling a fifth time, Rose was with the Bulls by now and told them to pound sand. The NCAA came down hard based on what they think, not what they know.

2) selective enforcement: another coach had players taking money from agents and another CAUGHT in academic fraud: Bill Self, KU. I don’t see you slobbering over him? Do your homework. For once

This compared to your POS who truly did something and then had the audacity to lie about it. Or maybe he is enough of an idiot to fail to recognize his own back yard. What’s funny is the rule he broke was nothing but then he went to lie about it. What’s funnier is his constant whiny victim attitude every time he loses a recruit. He wouldn’t have gotten in trouble had he not accused Kraft and OSU of cheating. Kraft made him his ***** with those photos

Do I think all the blue bloods of CBB are dirty as hell? Yes, I absolutely do. We were talking about Cal and Pearl but I do think KU, MSU, Duke, UNC, UL, IU etc are all dirty as hell too.

And I pointed out why it’s not.

Not really. Certainly not anymore than blathering about Bruce Pearl and Illinois from 30 years ago.

Lettuce discuss Pearl's "cheating" sins.

- At UT he had some recruits over at his house for a BBQ, which was a (probably secondary) violation. Certainly nothing huge. Had he just admitted it, it likely would have been a minor wrist slap, but he lied and encouraged the recruit to lie and got caught. Very bad and got a show cause for it.

- The other issue being talked about is from 1989 and wasn't even about Pearl cheating, but him catching someone else cheating. As an assistant at Iowa, he recorded a phone call with a recruit who admitted that Illinois boosters had offered him $80k to come play for the Illini and turned that recording into the NCAA, becoming persona non grata in D-1 basketball for several years for secretly recording that call.

Auburn hired him with 5 months remaining on the show cause and he had to abide by a long set of hard restrictions on recruiting until then.

The stuff with Chuck Person didn't even involve recruiting inducements. These were players already signed with Auburn that Person attempted to make some side money on by steering them to a particular agent who would give him kickbacks. Yes, it's still illegal, but it's not "cheating" to get better players. And there is absolutely zero evidence anyone at Auburn knew what Person was up to.

So explain to me how this shows Pearl is "scummy" and a "cheater." Especially knowing what really goes on in NCAA D-1 basketball recruiting.

I don’t care about Pearl from 30 years ago. Point is he cheated, lied, lost the receipt anyway so he blamed the other school for “cheating” and then Kraft turned him in for cheating. This wasn’t 30 years ago

Well, it was brought up a couple of times in this thread as evidence of Pearl being a cheater and "scummy" so I addressed it.

Again, he hosted some recruits for a BBQ which, while against the rules, would have been a minor violation. What got him in trouble was that when he was confronted over it (it wasn't Craft who turned him in) he lied.

So basically this entire freakout boils down to the fact that one time he lied over a minor recruiting violation and got caught. He sat out of basketball for almost 3 years because of it.

Anything else that we should know that makes him history's greatest monster?

Yawn!

Do you clean the mirror when you pop those things? Ewwww.

I’m assuming you want assistance reading? There’s no context, no substantiation. Not much of anything really. Just enough to make little Internet trolls like you wet their pants.

Let’s say something untoward happened. Our NCAA compliance officer will self report. Cal will spill his guts. Not cower like a puppy and refuse to talk like punkin head who is trying so desperately to save his job.

Looks like that “Good Year 2018” banner may not be up long. Make sure you get pictures.

Huge surprise to everyone.. UK basketball is dirty. [roll]

I can't believe this thread. Like you're the dirtiest basketball program in the country and it's not even close. It'd be unanimous if you took a poll. And you're crying about Auburn because we spanked that *** for like the 2nd time ever? Not only is the UK fanbase delusional but I guess you can add being gigantic pussies to the list as well. Enjoy the FBI anal probe.

I'll wait until the season is over before any congratulations or laughing (I laugh now at actions committed or that are likely to be committed. That part is fun.), or whatever goes on. Anything can happen but I like the trend lately. At least it gives hope for a better finish.

We will go further than them. Wait and see.

Yeah right. I think it’s a little early to congratulate them on the season. I bet UK goes farther in the NCAA tournament.

I agree we probably will get further in the tourney. I just don't see any reason to be one of those snotty fans that all teams have. My dad taught me to be the better man. At 24 and 4, no it's not too early to say great season. I'll take that over 19-9 any day. Those blue tinted glasses sometimes are hard to see through.
